Leggings are NOT appropriate yoga wear if they are so thin your derrière can be seen through them. The people behind you in class would truly appreciate it if you reconsider wearing them next week.
Yes I did quietly speak to her and tell her that her almost bare ass was visible throughout the entire class. It was so visible I know she was either sans panties or wearing a thong. She did not realize it was an issue. I expect she won't wear them next week. My eyes will thank her and so will the young man next to me.

I was at the gas station with my kids last summer and a girl got out of her car and then bent over to grab something- those black yoga pants were totally sheer in the sunlight. She was wearing a thong. Her rear had dimples. I was behind her in line buying a slurped inside...it was just awful. I couldn't decide if it was kinder to say something (surely she didn't know, right?!) or pretend I didn't see. An older guy walked by and did the most hilarious double take...dimples. We could see dimples. The thong was black. There was either a grooming fail (if intended to be seen) or you know, thongs don't cover much and those pants left nothing to the imagination. I still shudder at the memory.

The class is primarily women 35 and up. There was one guy, maybe 25-28, and apparently pretty shy. I had a tough time not laughing at his attempts to look anywhere but at her rearend. Hilarious. I decided I had to tell her because if she shows up wearing them next week the young man will probably be done in. That and I would likely be too, it was easier to watch him than her. ?

I am not the coolest person at my gym. This is a fact. There are way cooler, younger, prettier and thinner women at my gym. I always have black underwear on under my yoga pants. Always without fail. You may be able to see my black underwear under my black yoga pants but you can't see my butt. Again I am not cool and I need to keep my butt covered. The woman with the false eyelashes and makeup, she wears see through yoga pants though. She must be cooler than i am. She wears much sexier workout wear too.

My DD was a restaurant manager for a while and frequently had to send young waitresses home to change because they were just wearing thin leggings and displaying far too much of their underwear preferences.

I'm pretty obsessive about making sure nothing is see-through before I leave my home. But if something slipped by me, I would definitely appreciate being told discreetly.

I can't imagine! No one wants to see that. I don't know what else to say (haha, well I did write up something, but knew there would be a couple that didn't like what I had to say so I deleted it!). I don't wear leggings because I can't find shirts long enough to cover my rear, and they just don't look good on me. But if I could wear them, I would appreciate being told they were see through just in case I didn't notice myself.

Young men like see through leggings...well some

I always say something when I see this at the gym. I also always wear full back panties at the gym, don't care about panty lines this is more important.

I'm not sure which is worse, the see through black yoga pants or the flesh colored leggings.

Haha, DS and I were just talking about this and how he hates co-ed gym and the things the girls were wearing when they all had to do yoga. He said it was very distracting and he felt like a creep no matter where he put his eyes. Apparently there were sheer leggings galore.

I am all about the shoes at the gym. I have wild and crazy shoes (and goodness don't ask how many pairs i own) but you will not see my butt through my yoga pants or capris. Isn't going to happen. I have 20 pairs of black underwear and I make sure this behind is covered!

(I imagine there are so, SO many embarrassing moments for all concerned when you intermingle women with see through pants, no undergarments and young men...)

Maybe we should all make copies of that Hello Kitty pic to put up at places where people wear too thin butt covers. Or be mean and hand them a copy directly.

Along that lines, if you are a guy in my ballet class and you're dressing full out in the whole male tights/socks thing, you need to wear a dance cup. NEED TO. Allegro last night was... distracting.

He said it was very distracting and he felt like a creep no matter where he put his eyes. Apparently there were sheer leggings galore. My 15 and 17 yr. old daughters have a big group of friends (boys and girls) and none of them think the see through leggings are attractive, especially the boys. I am so happy that the see through ones are not popular at their school.
The part about feeling like a creep no matter where you look, well, my 15 yr. old is in a ballet theater and it's all high school girls. They have to "rent" male dancers for their productions of the Nutcracker and a spring ballet from a local university dance program. The girls aren't used to seeing male dancers and feel the same way you described above when seeing the young men in their costumes.

I see that stuff all the time but with people on ellipticals. White spandex with black thong is my favorite one. I would not tell them because they made a conscious decision to wear that!

AMEN!!
I can't leave without adding. I know you love them, they are comfy. You think you look HOT in them and tell everyone else to Get OVER OURSELVES. Just to let you know. We are the ones that have to look at you. It is not a pleasant experience.
Thank you for letting say my piece!
