After seeing this blog post and video several times I decided to get the goods to make these foiled cards. i got a cheap laser printer (also handy for other crafty projects) and a cheap laminator but now I'm waiting on my foil. Now that I have almost everything I've almost lost interest but hopefully will be excited again when my foils get here. I did try it with some old foils but they didn't work well-you probably have to have special toner-reactive foils or something. The foil stuck to the graphics fine but also stuck a little to the background. www.jennifermcguireink.com/2015/02/video-easy-gold-foil.html#comments

When I saw this technique I immediately ordered a laminator and picked up the foil in clearance at M's (which I thought was an amazing deal until it was pointed out that M's only has 1 sheet per tube!!) I printed a few things at work today and am now anxiously waiting for the weekend when I get a chance to try it out on a couple of cards! It looks so cool and apparently Jennifer McGuire is hooked on this technique so I'm excited to try it out too! If only work wasn't getting in the way of my scrapping hobby!

You could use a sticky pad with a stamp and foil it. I think a heat gun would set it, maybe heat the bottom side. Or let it set overnight.

No heat gun, you need pressure and heat but not TOO much heat. It can be done with the iron but can't remember if wool or cotton setting worked best and it worked better to fold parchment paper (the kind you use on cookie sheets) around the project. Oh, only about 15 seconds. On the glue, use very tacky glue, let it almost dry, then put over the glue design and rub with bone folder. I also use folded "pouch" of parchment paper as a carrier through the laminator. Laura Murray Designs has much cheaper foil and beautiful too. They shipped fast and shipping was reasonable. I bought the foil by the yard and use a laminator. I printed it at a print shop and DH did some at work. Laura Murray Designs foil
