I have always wanted to do this in order to save a bit of money. Besides, I just think it would be fun.
If you have done this, do you have any tips? I typically don't plant flowers until mid May, so I think I would still have some time, but I probably need to do it soon.

Yes, and I am dying to get them planted. It's been super cold here, so my greenhouse isn't warm enough yet. I think I will start the peppers inside this weekend. Last year, I started TONS of stuff, peppers, tomatoes, squashes, pumpkins, and transplanted them. I also started 300 or so marigolds inside. Tip - plant them into Solo cups with holes punched in the bottom....that way the plants were already to bloom when I put them out in May.
