I've just watched this film for the umpteenth time and I LOVE it. Has it reached a US audience? It's based around the music of the Proclaimers, and the dialogue is very Scottish. The scenes of Edinburgh are fab, the music is brilliant, and it's such a feel good film.

Love the music but I've never seen the film. I'll keep an eye out for it!

I'd love to see it, but it doesn't look like it has been released/distributed in the US. I did find this trailer on Youtube.

I haven't seen the movie, it sounds like something DSO and I would enjoy. I love the song, but it has bitterweet memories for me.... it was played at the funeral of a friend's husband (they're both originally from the UK). Jockscrap, I love the videos of the Hibs fans singing it at football matches. amazing!

AussieMeg, I can see how that song would bring a tear to your eye with that association. The Proclaimers are well known for their upbeat songs but they have written many amazing emotional songs too.

Jockscrap I don't know why they couldn't get a distribution deal, but strong accents would not have been reason enough as plenty of other British movies are released here (although I do remember taking a friend to Billy Elliott and having to translate a whole lot of the movie for her). I couldn't find a download or streaming option either and the BlueRay/DVD versions available on Amazon don't work on North American equipment. I'll just cross my fingers that it shows up on Netflix sometime soon.
