My husband is recovering from back surgery. We need to install a side rail so that he can grab on to it in the morning to help him sit up. Got the railing but it is a bit too high. In other words, the bed sits a little too low. We can't do anymore adjusting to the height of the railing. So I was thinking of getting bed risers. Raise the bed to meet the height needed for the side rails. My question is, are bed risers safe to use. They all look as though not much of the bed leg sits inside. Do you have them and what do you think of their safetiness (I guess that's not a word but you know what I mean.) Thanks.

I have used them and never had an issue. I have them on all size beds in my house. Make sure the bed frame leg is firmly in the riser and the riser is flat on the ground.
Also remember that if the bed is crooked and on risers, you can't just push the bed straight, you have to move the risers. Ask me how many times I've done that!! Lol

The kidlet has them on her bed and has never had a problem with them.

The risers have a much wider base than plain bed frame legs, making them very stable. The average frame leg is a circle with a 1-2" diameter. Bed risers typically have a square base that is at least 4" x 4". A much bigger and more stable base.
