I am getting so annoyed with Verizon's customer service right now and need to see if the peas have any advice or btdt info. Here is the back story. My husband and I are grandfathered into their unlimited data plans which means that to get a new phone and keep our unlimited data we must pay full retail price for a phone. No big deal. We use a ton of data so we decided this is worth it for us. So in March I paid the $699 price tag for a Note 3 phone. Loved it until the circuit board or something shorted out and it had to be replaced. The problem started here. Even though I had purchased a brand new phone for $699 they sent me a refurbished phone. Seems like an ok solution since my phone was used at this point (had it a month or 2). But then a month later the charger port won't work in the "new" refurb phone. So I call them again.. After a few minutes on the phone they are sending me out another warranty replacement (another refurb). So I got the 2nd refurb phone activated and set up (hate that it takes forever to get things just the way I had it on my old phone) yesterday and guess what this afternoon I am having the same charger port issues with this phone. It didn't even last 2 full days. I know verizon will send me yet another refurb but based on the luck I have had with their used phones I'm guessing it will have problems. Ugh. So I basically have a piece of junk phone that I paid $699 for in March! They won't refund me (only will within 10 days of initial purchase) and they won't send me a new phone (only refurb). Has anyone ever successfully gotten around these rules and gotten them to successfully resolve these issues. I talked to my credit card company tonight and it sounds like they will likely solve it with a dispute complaint, but I have to first send back my phone to Verizon (and be with out a phone until it is solved 15 to 30 days or more). I'm willing to go that route, but I am hoping someone knows of a magical way / phrase to get Verizon to solve this first.
