It is about 45 min outside of my city but it's there! I saw it! I was so happy. Road trip!

Hurray for you! I can totally relate. I have one about the same distance away from me that I just discovered last week. It was so exciting to FINALLY be able to go into an actual store and see everything up close. Spent $100 and I already want to go back!

Good for you! Mine is an hour and 15 away from me, but I am really trying to go every couple of months to support it as she stocks the latest stuff and has great classes and weekend crops. It's just so nice to see stuff in person!

Oh fun, Elannah!
Ds and I just got home from a trip to my "local" scrapbook store. It's in Murfreesboro, TN, right outside Nashville, The Sassy Scrapbooker. It's a hike for me at 45 min one way on the most boring interstate ever and so I only go a few times a year. The car ride round trip is a bit much for my toddler, but he did ok today bc he fell asleep. Sigh. If they had evening hours I could go more often by myself, but I'm stuck bringing him during the week.
But I did well today! Got a new Bo Bunny zoo line in the 6x6 pad, some Echo Park zoo paper, a sheet from Simple Stories I thought I bought but couldn't find, some Bo Bunny Christmas paper for a specific set of pics of DS, some double dot cardstock paper and a new Chestnut Roan ink pad. Oh! And some old, old My Minds Eye Halloween paper that was in their clearance bin for .25 each that I think will look cute with some of his Halloween pics from last year.
I need to add a pic of my haul.

What a great feeling! I am so disappointed. I was within reach of two decent stores during the college visits this week- didn't make it to either one! I miss having a LSS in our town.

There are still about 5 clustered around Lancaster County, PA, but in Virginia there are now none at all.

Because of this thread I Googled and found one on the southeast side of Indianapolis that has only been open a year, Neu Scrapbooking. It's small, but it had some stamping stuff which is more what I'm into.
I also signed up for a Copic class for beginners next weekend. REALLY excited about that because they supply everything but adhesive!

I went to Scrapbook Essentials when she was on Burnside. I haven't been to the new place yet. My excuse is I don't know where it is! Weak excuse I know!
The other place is just outside Duncan I would say 6 min max before the bridge heading into town. I haven't been there yet but will soon!

My 'local' store is actually across the border in Buffalo, NY... She has a wonderful selection of stuff - not just stamps, and their classes are AMAZING! www.buffalostamps.com

We always make sure to go to Pages in Time on 322 in Brickerville (outside of Lititz) and in Lititz right next to Stauffers is the Cozy Crop House and they have a store. There are other ones too.

I did know about the CKC but not the other LSS. Every July I plan to go to CKC since I moved here and something always happens. I'm planning again for this year because I heard you can get good deals there. Thanks for this info. Is CKC in Lancaster worth going to in your opinion?

There is one south of Houston that just moved to a new and bigger location. Croppin' Bug in La Marque, TX. I'm hoping to have a chance to go check them out this Saturday. Also there is another one called Scrap Shack in Friendswood, TX that's a little bit closer in to the city. Supposedly there is one north of the city but I haven't had a chance to go check it out. And then CKC is coming back at the end of August and I think this year I am going to go for both days and stay at the convention center hotel because it's more than an hour drive back and forth from my house. I miss the days of multiple LSS around the city and crops and classes every week. I could probably go to one or two crops a month and I really think I need to start signing up for them.

The last few times we've driven up/back hasn't worked with their hours, but it's on my list to check out. The store also has a Facebook page if you want to keep up with what's going on. It seems she updates it fairly regularly with crops, new products and classes.

If any of you ladies are ever in Iowa, I would like to share with you a few stores that we have! The Rustic Corner in Charles City, IA. This is my local store. Memory Bound in Des Moines, IA (actually Ankeny, IA which is a suburb). Scrapmania in Cedar Rapids, IA. I think there are actually a few more, but these are the ones I frequent and love! They all have websites and facebook so be sure to check them out!
