Thinking ahead for spring - even though we still have 4 feet of snow on the ground We have a gas grill that I want to have looked at before using this spring/summer. Rust, making sure there aren't any leaks, etc. We are in New England nuff said, we may not be able to get to it for a few weeks but I want to line up a guy/place/service ahead of time. Where would I go to have it looked at? Who would I call? DH is not qualified and everything I see online is a DIY kind of thing and I want to make sure we don't blow ourselves up by not knowing what we are doing and/or missing a leak. I emailed Sears but I am not sure if there are other options out there - I like options and would love to hear what others have done.

There are several companies in my city who will come out to clean and check your grill. Did you try a Google search for grill cleaning in your city?

We have Grille and Fireplace dealers with stores and repairman. Are there any in your area?
Some lawn mower repairmen do it too.

I work on my grill. It is not hard. I have bought replacement parts and they are cinch to install. I even put the thing together when I bought it, and only had a few leftover parts. Unless you have a very nice grill, you can't even get replacement parts for most. If you are really worried about it and it has a lot of failing parts, it will be cheaper to buy a new one. My DH is a "fix it wizard" and even he says I have "a way" with grills! LOL

I live in the country but I did a google search and only found sears as a place in our area as far as cleaning or repair, the other things that came up were "how to" things. I just went on the site for our grill, it's a Vermont Castings grill so it's fairly nice - I will give them a call though I think they just sell and install they may know someone.
