Thanks for the info. I've been eyeing some doodad things. TH was one of the few remaining brand names they carried. I wonder if that means they're discontinuing it. Is Martha next? Maybe Recollections brand appeals to the average crafter, but it doesn't do it for me. Everything just seems a little off design and color-wise.

I like some of the Recollections stuff but not all. I really hope they're not discontinuing his stuff because I like his metal stuff for altering. I'm thinking maybe they're just pushing the older stuff out for the new stuff? Idk..hope so.
His paper was on clearance to..forgot to add that.

I hate that they keep replacing name brand stuff with their Recolletions brand. Same thing seems to be happening a Office Depot. I can't even find Avery brand labels anymore.

I used to be a big TH fan, but now it seems his stuff is just a little too out there for my style. Not to say that I don't still like some of his stuff because I have all of his distress inks and fully intend to buy every colour released this year, but some of it I would just never use. But still maybe its worth a stop by my Ms to see if I can find anything I might use!

Michael's seems to be doing that with the Wilton products too. I needed bags and sticks for my chocolate lollipops, and all I could find were the Recollections brand. They were significantly smaller in size, and I had to struggle to make them work. Lately, I leave Michael's feeling disappointed and with a lighter bag.

Funny, at Staples it was just the opposite. I use the smaller notebooks maybe 5 x 7 pages. Staples had page protectors that were quite a bit cheaper than Avery page protectors. I was in there yesterday and all they had were the Avery page protectors

I checked out the Michaels near me, and they only have a few items on clearance. It looks like they are making space for some new (hopefully Tim Holtz) items.
One of the things that bothers me about Recollections is that they just rip off design trends that were created by others. Innovators now have a tiny window of time to make money off of their style with smaller stores, whereas in the past it would have been picked up and distributed by Michaels. Now they just create their own version and sell it instead. Their selection is huge but boring.

I've wanted one of those craft mats. I can't get out there until tomorrow so we'll see..
I've had mixed experiences with the Recollection stuff. The stamps and ink I bought were great. The tape runner adhesives weren't very sticky and the tape broke when the runner was only about half used. I guess it just depends on where they're doing their outsourcing.

I'm not a fan of their Recollections brand of washi tape. It never stays down I always have to use my ATG gun on the back.
Their flowers are ok. Kinda plain but when on sale I may get some if Im able to.
I will be sad if everything becomes their brand because I don't have a LSS near me at all so Mikes is all I have. When I'm able to splurg on buy something I'm stuck buying from there.

I hate that they keep replacing name brand stuff with their Recolletions brand. hobby lobby is selling a lot of the TH metals under their own brand. the items are not exact but they are extremely similar---the metal box feet, the clasps, keyholes, pins and other stuff. when hobby lobby puts them on sale, they are even cheaper than the TH stuff if or when it ever goes on sale there or elsewhere.

My Michaels didn't have any TH for sale today. The part of the aisle they had cleared off was full of colored craft paper. I don't need that stuff.
