I'm finally, after 9 years, getting around to scrapping my wedding album. Hoping to get it down for our 10 year anniversary. I'm just scrapping page by page, hopping around to photos that inspire (all of two photos so far) but not really thinking theme or colors. For those who had done wedding albums, did you scrap by colors or themes or just whatever inspires you that day? My other "themed" albums such as my travel albums, I used 2 or 3 collections for some consistency throughout. I guess I have not thought through my wedding album. I'm wondering if I'm going to regret going with the flow instead of planning... What did you do, or what do you think about this topic?

I've been working (very slowly!) on an anniversary album for our 25th. I ordered an 8x8 wedding/anniversary album kit from Scrapscriptions that I will use for the basic structure of the album, but because not everything in it really applies I have been buying other stuff that falls into our general color scheme (white, black, gray, pink, silver). I picked papers and things I liked without being too strict about it, and I'm thinking I'll substitute/add whatever extra pages in as needed. I want to include copies of some of our favorite wedding pictures as well as the pics from our anniversary party and the family portraits we had taken around that same time. While most of the papers and things I have will fall into the color scheme from the party, there will be some that stray from it a little because they are florals, etc.

I made two 26 paged albums for my good friends. A friend and I actually made five of the same album. We used a lot of white/cream, gray, silver, and black. Then for each individual bride we added the colors of the wedding with a little card stock and embellishments. They turned out beautifully.

I was just looking a pictures from my ds's wedding last fall, thinking about doing a project life style album for most of the photos, but may do some layouts with some of the more memorable photos (I "only" have tagged about 300 has favorites....)
My plan is to use silver/gray for most of it (tuxes & my dress were silver gray) and use royal blue, orange, yellow as accents as they were the other wedding colors. I can see it in my head, now if I make time to do it!

I made 3 for my dd's wedding..one for her new mil was a mini album, so completely matching. The one for dd, color coordinated, believe it was a Stampin Up paper pack was my predominant, one of the french inspired lines with shades of blue and yellow...and used the lyrics from the song she walked to, a line per page.
The one for me to keep is page by page, whatever I feel inspired by. And it is the most 'fun'.
Her wedding was @7 years ago, and I am almost finished with mine. ha!

I used whatever I wanted but I also used things that had a vibe of my wedding. I had lilacs and a Victorian theme and I used that kind of stuff. I need to update and fix my album because I used alot of circles and ovals and I want to fix it and make it easy to look at instead of an embarrassment.

I want to keep my albums fun not so formal, but I also want to conhesive... hum... maybe I should look to see what is out there and get 3 or 4 different collections to work from. My wedding colors (if I had colors) were blue and silver, my dress was a baby blue, my hubby wore a white hawaiian shirt. It was a hawaiian luau. Very casual so I don't want my album to look too formal. Thanks for letting me bounce ideas.

Right now scrapyourtrip.com has 20% off beach items and they have a new Hawaii collection and personalized papers like 2 hearts drawn in the sand and you can get your names printed. www.scrapyourtrip.com/wedding.html or www.scrapyourtrip.com/hawaii.html Maybe you can check it out and get some ideas.
