If I "hide" someone (like a cousin) and that cousin posts something to me personally....is it seen by all my friends in my feed??? Or would I have to go to my timeline to see it???

I'm not sure, but she might have to actually block them instead of just hide them. Or she can go to her Timeline settings and change it to only her that can see the posts, but that would mean nobody could see anything on her timeline. Hope that helps a little!

Hmmm....but she could change her timeline settings for a month or so then change it back. She doesn't want to block them but she may need to. Thank you

It won't show up in your newsfeed unless you respond to it in some way. However, those who have your blocked from their newsfeed but go visit your time line will see it. And you have no way of knowing who sees you post via time line and who prefers to visit your timeline periodically instead.
If your mom doesn't want her chemo info out there she needs to seriously consider who she tells in the first place. Make sure the ones that know can be trusted to not pass it on to ANYONE, family or not.

She did limit who she told...just immediate family. She made an honest mistake today and sent a friend a note (handwritten at that...LOL) asking this friend to pray for her as she just finished her chemo. She wasn't thinking obviously and I truly don't think this person will post anything.
So if she hides this person and this friend says "prayers Carol (last name) for being done with chemo"...will all my mom's friends see it?? That's truly my question....Because it would show up in her newsfeed if this person was not hidden right?? Ugh.

If Carol and Mom have mutual friends then those mutual friends will see it. Best thing to do is call Carol and ask her to not post a prayer request. When you hide someone the only person that stops seeing their posts is the person who does the hiding. |
