I had purchased the Hitchhiker's class and 4x6 photo love class while at 2Peas. I love her classes and would like to take a few more.
which ones do you recommend? I don't use collection kits, but could it be used with supplies you have on hand? Other suggestions?

Hi there I also hardly ever use collection kits, but I think Shimelle is very clever mixing in different designs. She gives good tips on how to mix and match papers and add embellishments. I have done many of her classes, loved Pretty Paper Party the most - I think it gives lots of timeless advice. Love your Pictures, love your Pages was also great - learnt a lot from that class just about taking photos in different ways to shake things up a bit.

kikipea,
I have taken most of Shimelle's classes, and you can't go wrong with any of them. I would recommend The Perfect Collection and Return to the Collection, for starters. You don't really need collection kits--just make your own kit. She gives cutting directions in The Perfect Collection as a way to grab a bunch of papers and get scrapping, plus both of those classes have tons of useful information.
The Pretty Paper Party is another fav of mine, and Cover to Cover is equally good. Honestly, they are all good.
For $10 a class, you will be a winner with whatever you pick.

Done! I purchased Pretty Paper Party, the Collection and Return to the Collection and Learn Something New Every Day classes. Excited to see how they are! Not sure when I'll be able to start them, though. I am in the throws of creating wedding invitations for my brother's wedding in July!

I'm thinking of getting Return to the collection. I already have the other classes. Learn Something New runs every year in September so its the class that keeps giving!! Journal your Christmas is the same way, every December it runs again.

When I made my daughters, my dining room became as scrap room annex. Just for the cards, etc. but it all turned out beautifully and it saved a ton of money! I had already designed a card and show him the mock up to my daughter when we went to a wedding expo. A very similar card to the one I made was being sold for nine dollars apiece. Mine, with postage included cost about three dollars apiece

LOL I THINK we are there now; just getting it proofread. As soon as I get the go-ahead on that, I'm printing. NO MORE CHANGES!!! LOL THEN, we have to move on to the info card they want included. All 100 belly bands are complete, though! YAY!!!
