The lights in my office have been turning off on me this week. It took me a couple days to realize that the pot of daffodils I had brought in was blocking the light motion sensor from "seeing" me if I was working at my computer too long.

I like EOS lip balm I can't get Netflix to play without crashing on my iPad mini... Internet connection is strong, I rebooted (is that what it's called?) my iPad, switched to the lowest streaming setting... Doesn't help... Sometimes it'll crash right after I press play, other times it'll play and I think it's fixed but then it crashes later on... Ugh... Oh, and I still have no idea how to sync my iPhone, iPad, or iPod shuffle to my Mac/iTunes... I get stumped on the first question where you're supposed to choose if you want to lose everything and replace or move from the phone or however it's worded... Don't understand the question at all, and reading the Apple help info doesn't even sort of make sense to me... Frustrating and embarrassing - crazy, but it's the one task that can bring me to tears... Double ugh... Itunes has brought me to tears as well. UGH! Tears from me too when I was trying to homeshare with my DD. I was determined to conquer it and I DID tears and all!

All four of my children have sleepovers going on tonight. And honestly, I slept so badly last night, and I'm helping my sister move today. I'm afraid all I'm going to be up for this evening is sleeping.
I don't like the EOS shape either. It's weird. My favorite lip balm is orange chocolate from Lush. It was a huge splurge to spend that much on lip balm but it's lovely stuff.

I am going back to work on Monday after a 4 month LOA. I am actually nervous that I will forget how to do something. Maybe I forgot how to operate the IV pumps or I won't remember my Omnicell password. I actually woke up early this morning with this on my mind.

According to my husband's phone, it is 86 degrees in Findlay Ohio. He has various locations on the weather app on his phone and for some reason, Findlay got stuck on the day he looked at it in August.
I'm sure there is a way to fix it, but it just makes us happy to think that Findlay is just a constant weather tropical paradise.

Love the chunkiness of the EOS lip balm... makes it way simpler to find in a bag or drawer than a stupid little skinny one.
I like orange pop.
Never liked Lip Smackers... particularly not the gloss with the ball applicator.

Janet Not surprised you are nervous but that will have all disappeared by the end of the first day. You will feel so tired until you get back into routine so take care of yourself. Sending all good wishes for Monday, will be thinking of you.

Unnecessary chatter - What is up with the cashier at Target oversharing her struggles with going caffeine free. It was day one. I am a total stranger. My age 17-23 dds were with me. We smiled politely - what were we supposed to say? Even if we wanted to say something, we would not have been able to get a word in edgewise. It was too weird. Then the next day while with dh, a hotel clerk was over the top fake friendly as we registered. Asking personal questions about our drive, making sure we knew the detailed weather forecast and weather from the past week.
A little genuine professionalism goes a long way.

Some random person called the house and asked for my husband. He was at work and told the person so. He then asked me if I knew of any houses for sale in my neighborhood. I said yes there are a few with signs up. Then he wanted to know if I knew of anybody who was going to sell but didn't have their house on the MLS yet. Said no. Weird. Apparently he really wants to live in our neighborhood. We are across from the middle school, but it's not like houses are selling that fast these days. my first thought=Realtor Same. My IL's get calls at least every few days with people wanting to buy their house. No, they want the land. They're on a double corner lot in a desirable neighbourhood that is doing a lot of rebuilding. It's a developers dream. The house itself is a tear down.

I love to use Blistex on my lips in the winter. I can't keep a tube in my car in the winter because it freezes and turns yucky. EOS, mint flavored, fits in the little holder of my car in the winter and I will swap it out for Blistex this summer.

I used to live a few houses down the street from an elementary school and a high school.
The number of violent sexual predators living in the neighborhood was eye opening. They only have to live so far away. I checked their convictions online.
Why does my bag of bite sized candy bars always have the most quantity of the kind I like the least? This bag only had 4 or 5 mini twix and 99.9% 3 musketeers. I was in a hurry and didn't look at the package to see how many of each kind there were.
My lips stay so dry. I don't mind spending a bit extra for really good lip balm. I use it in place of lipstick a lot of the time. I also splurged on an Yves St. Laurent lipstick that is the perfect nude for me. It's so incredibly moisturizing and stays on so well. I've had the tube for over a year and use it all the time. The lipstick is so full of pigment that you don't need much. Plus the container is so beautiful.
Why does it take so long for Otter and Defender to come out with cases for the newest phones? Dh got a new android that there's no otter case for yet. Yes, he's dropped it.

Knee surgery for hubby on Monday at 3:30 - he can't have ANYTHING after midnight. Guess how great my day is gonna be. And hello, it's frappucino Monday. As soon as he goes night night, I'm making my run to Starbucks! LOL
Silhouette users on FB who sell dollar tree crap ... a collection of paranoid people worried about who will find out about their top secret Silhouette machine. So every day at least in one of the groups the question is asked "someone just asked me what I use, what do I dooooo?" ... holy cow, it's not national security. so if anyone wonders how those cute little designs are made, it's a silhouette machine on dollar tree crap. Get.Over.It.
And on that note, please learn how to spell if you're going to do personalized stuff. Just sayin' (though it's very entertaining). Reason I don't sell stuff!

I went to a funeral today. it was for one of my most favorite men. He is the 90 year old father of a good friend of mine. We became friends when I was a teenager. We both knew it, dh knows it and his whole family know we were very special to each other. I ended up getting there right under the wire before service started because there was a detour. I was fretting about it, then realized they wouldn't care it I arrived late because they would be so surprised to see me. And i was right.
I'm tired of all of the political memes and party bashing (both sides) on my fb wall. I say that understanding people are probably tired of all my God-centered posts.

But I'm right there with you in that Twix is far superior.

There are so many rules for people in retail and in service positions. The Target cashier was likely trying to fulfill her obligations to greet, ask, and have a small conversation with you, and then thank you all while trying to do her job as quickly as possible. I'd be willing to be the hotel clerk was doing the same. I remember when I was a cashier there was a certain script we were to follow, but at the same time we were encouraged to be "friendly" with the people that came through the line and engage in conversations with them. How much friendly conversation can you really have with a stranger when there are 5 impatient people standing in line behind them???

You said random, right??? I had this dream after DH left for work this morning: He had a HUGE presentation to do. He was sitting with his boss at the head table, facing the crowd, and I was at the first table watching. He started looking really nervous and started mixing up his words and saying really weird things that didn't make any sense. I started crying and trying to call 911, but I was so freaked out that I kept dialing it wrong, so I had to get someone to dial it for me. We finally get him to the hospital and the diagnosis was that something in our new house had caused FLIES to grow inside his brain! That's why he was mixing up his words!!! They had to give him meds to kill the flies. OMG LOL

Hanging head - I kinda like the EOS.

Sil has a menagerie at her house. Dogs, cats, outside are chickens and ducks. Maybe the ducks are inside? I'm confused. Maybe something else. Probably something else. She just posted pics and video. She Put two ducklings in the filled bathtub. the three dogs are all up in their business. They all fell in. Some things I just don't understand.

She Put two ducklings in the filled bathtub. the three dogs are all up in their business. They all fell in. Some things I just don't understand. I can relate. DH just brought home EIGHT, yes, I said EIGHT brand new baby chicks a couple days ago and they are currently living in a box in our laundry room. I will own that I'm the softie that let them come in the house for a few weeks until they get bigger and it warms up. We recently had a cold snap and they are much too small to be left out in the garage with nothing but a little heat lamp and a cardboard box to keep them warm enough and out of the drafts! Due to my own diligence and mother henly-ness, I am quite sure they will all survive. We already have three dogs in the house and seven other full grown chickens outside in their warm insulated coop. I think that's plenty, LOL. In another six months or so, we're going to be totally overrun with fresh organic eggs when all the new ones start laying too!
