My Boys (8 & 10) have the Garmin Vivofit and love it. They don't have to worry about remembering to charge it or anything.

SabrinaM if you have any questions about it let me know. I have one & DS10 does too. DS8 has a different Garmin watch. The nice think, IMO, about the Vivofit is the battery is supposed to last about a year, so no charging! I've had mine for longer than that. The battery is just a couple of the round watch type so you can replace yourself when they die. It can also get wet without a problem. DS10 has fun making sure he gets his steps in each day. I should be so motivated LOL!
