I took some chicken drumsticks out of the freezer and plan to make a chicken stew with Bisquick dumplings on top. I'm craving comfort food What are you eating tonight?

Onion soup. I hate it, and haven't made it in years, but DH begged and even volunteered to chop all the onions. But it'll probably be another ten years before I make it again.

DD and SIL moved 12 hours away a year ago. She is back in town on a business trip for a few days and should be here soon. She requested chicken tortilla soup, meatless taco salad and baked jalapeno poppers. My DH made salted dulce de leche brownies and we will have it with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, whipped cream and maybe a drizzle of chocolate sauce for dessert. Her best friend and BFF's DH will be joining us. Can't wait to see her.

I'm flying back shortly and won't land until 9 with the time change so I'll likely just grab McD's on the way home.

Not cooking . It is a rare Sat afternoon and evening when all four of us are home, so we are going north to Orange County. DD's prom is being held in San Clemente and she wants to check out spots for her gang of friends to take photos. The kids must have been in the mood for burgers or carnitas because they have picked The Riders Club for dinner.

Not sure yet, but for some reason I'm (a) not too hungry and (b) kind of craving baked beans on toast (which would normally be a kind of 'I have the day off and nothing much in for lunch' meal - but I have some 'hot and fiery' grated cheese which may spice it up nicely as well, plus some mustard, so who knows!
On the other hand, it's Saturday and the Chinese place does love me, so...............

Husband & younger son are doing their Scoutly duty and working at the burger & fry booth at a local event. After a day around so much food, neither one of them is usually up for something of substance for dinner, so I haven't planned anything. We'll see what, if anything, they're in the mood for.
Could be pizza. Could be cereal. Could be Chinese. Who knows?

I need to make some room in my freezer so I want to get the 'prepared' type of stuff out of there. Tonight it is chicken fingers and french fries with a lettuce salad.

I already made it -- balsamic chicken. Just chicken in a marinade of balsamic vinegar, olive oil, and Montreal grill seasoning. Cooked it in a skillet after it marinated for a while.
Served with a side of onions, cannellini beans and wilted spinach cooked in a sauce of white wine and chicken stock, seasoned with thyme, garlic, crushed red pepper, parsley, and lemon juice.
I also made couscous with chicken stock, butter, and golden raisins.
I've been planning to try the recipe for a while now. Came out great!

I have my grandson with me for the weekend while his Mommy recovers from having her gallbladder removed. Tonight we had the following. Chicken Del Prado
This is a recipe that is both low carb and classifies as clean eating. It is a sauce made with chicken, mushrooms, onion, red pepper, fresh tomatoes, tomato paste and white wine served over buttered spaghetti squash. For dessert we had the following. Triple Berry Ice Cream

Dh is making chicken, pasta, spinach and peas sauteed in white wine and a tiny bit of olive oil. It's a made up recipe and works really well. It's light and filling.

Leftovers. Chicken tacos with avocados. The Hubs would eat that every night for a week with no complaints. ETA: And wine, lots of wine. It's Saturday night!

I thought I was going to make the other half a package of crab and cheese ravioli I got a few weeks ago. However, it's now 6:00 and I haven't even started cooking yet (not that it would take long). We're all so tired from T-ball and other activities and I'm not sure anyone is even hungry. 6yo and I are sitting on my bed playing with our devices. We packed up some plastic Easter eggs for his K class and then we ate some extra chocolate eggs and SweeTart chicks and bunnies. No wonder we aren't hungry. ETA forgot to say, grace2882 I had to pin yet another of your recipes! That chicken looks divine. Thanks!
