I decided to edit my post and contact the event admin - it probably wasn't fair to post here without contacting her first, I was just so disappointed and really felt "taken". I haven taken tons of online classes and haven't ever complained before. I will just say I was disappointed and wouldn't personally recommend this event.

Sorry for the bold type and typos - no idea what happened there. Fixed the bold type at least.
Thanks for letting me vent. I did email the organizer as well. I logged out and am going to spend time with dd- time better spent.

I'm so sorry to hear that! I always recommend Lain's events and have great luck with them. I didn't end up taking True Stamp - combo of I had plans this weekend & not really a stamper (though you wouldn't know it from the kajillion stamps I own, eek). It's good that you let her know your specific complaints. I'm sure she'll take them to heart and try to improve.

I edited my post becuase it is better to contact her directly rather than vent here. I have heard mixed reviews of other events, but glad to hear you have enjoyed the events you have participated in.

That really sucks OP. Money you have spent doing something with your DD instead. $50 is not chump change. Shame on them.

I'm sorry you didn't like it. I know you edited your OP and respect that, but in basic terms what didn't you like? Was it individual classes, ?
I've taken it once or twice in the past, and honestly, there were a lot of instructors that really weren't my style. So, I eventually decided to wait until the individual classes went on sale and picked and chose what/who I wanted. I went that route with True Scrap, also.
Also, each and every time I took either True Scrap or Stamp, I had technical issues, and ended up having to call the tech support. I'm sure it was user error, but I had a hard time getting connected, staying connected, etc. One time dh was home, and he's pretty computer savvy, and he was getting annoyed he couldn't get it running right.

I would love to hear your review too. I have taken tons of classes at conventions and stores, but keep chickening out for online classes. So your dislikes might help me decide if I should or shouldn't try them.

Sorry to hear that you didn't like it. It was my first True Stamp and I got a lot out of it! I've been a scrapbooker forever but am just now starting my collection of stamps. I loved Shari Carroll's class. Her May basket of paper flowers was gorgeous and she broke it all down and showed exactly how to make one. Also enjoyed her ideas for the gorgeous frame for her granddaughter. I think it was well worth my time and I'm sure I will be incorporating some ideas from True Stamp.
