We were watching the latest "Night At the Museum", and it took me a few minutes to realize the hottie playing Sir Lancelot was "Matthew" ( Dan Stevens) from "Downton Abbey". We also saw him play an American with dark hair in a recent movie---I can't remember what the movie was called, but it was a suspense/ thriller and he was good in that, too! By the way, cute movie---LOVE Rebel Wilson "I could be a model if I didn't like PIZZA so much!".... So sad to know it was one of Robin William's last roles Annnnd, here he is ....

I never saw any of those Night at the Museum movies, but they're on my list.
But hmmph, I'm still ticked off at Dan Stevens over Downton Abbey.

Yes, part of the reason he left Downton was to take this role.

(re: Night At The Museum---it took us almost the entire movie to realize the Neanderthal was also played by Ben Stiller....) Here's cutie pie in another movie we liked called "Walk Among The Tombstones" ( a suspenseful good time with Liam Neeson)....it was fun to hear Dan Stevens speak with an American accent and he had dark hair.

Yeah, I agree. If I had realized who he was it would have distracted me, too. He's quite the chameleon!

I had heard that DA really wanted him to come back after Mary had the baby, even if just for an eps or two in the next season, but he was like: Nope! Got other stuff to do now!!
So now I know what they are. Awwww. He is so cute.

Wow, he looks great! Also not happy about the Downton ending he had, but glad to now have other opportunities to see him in action.
And this! Hermione is Belle!
And another Downton actress, 'Rose' is playing Cinderella. Seems like on the trailer for that one, Daisy was in the background too. Fun seeing various Downton characters in other parts.

He looks good here. I always thought he had kind of a weak chin in DA. The beard helps!

The actress Sophie McShera, that plays Daisy Mason on DA and the Step Sister Drizella Tremain in Cinderella is wonderful!

On another Downton Abbey note....for fans of Tom (Sybill's hubby) ----- he's good in the movie "Imitation Game" (great movie starring Benedict Cumerbatch...)

KatieAnna...we'd been watching the movie about an hour, and it was bugging me ----"WHO IS THAT?" ....so I had to google! ( a luxury of watching at home versus a theater!) (**ugh, peeps who are on their bright, annoying phones in public theaters during a movie!!!)

I much prefer him from Downton Abbey. He's too skinny and has too much facial hair now. (From someone who just watched all FIVE seasons in the last two weeks. So excited for the last season!)

I actually squealed when I realized it was him in Night at the Museum! scared the hubby and the cats! He looked yummyrific ... quite awesome! And I just watched Sense & Sensibility Masterpiece as he was in that ... course I realized I had seen it a few years ago but that was pre-Downton. LOL He's quite quite fine.
And he's from the same county in England where I was born - yay, I would have known him if I didn't live on this side of the pond (yup, going with that) LOL

Wasn't he also in the Sense and Sensibility remake a few years ago? I have to say, I'm not normally a fan of facial hair, but it makes a noticeable improvement on him.
