I too wondered about the crickets comment...but then I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and assume that it was "crickets" in regards to hearing from Holder and/or Obama...which is clearly in my subject line as a question.

The media won't shower the same kid of attention on this or the LEO's who have been injured or killed.
Jonathan Capehart "hands up don't shoot was a lie" got very little media attention.

They're in Washington DC. Perhaps Obama doesn't have the television on...maybe he'll learn about this when the national news comes on at 6:30 or 7pm. After all, he learns of many things when we do...through the news.  |

Yes shame on Obama and Holder. They didn't even call the family of San Jose Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty last week. Wait he was killed by a white man. But on the other hand they didn't call the family of young black woman who was killed in her front yard protecting her three young children from a drive by shooting.
This is nothing but a petty thread. Instead of nattering on about nothing time could be better spent trying to find ways to keep guns out of the hands of people like these shooters. Then no one will have to make the calls.

Here's a little lesson in life, just disliking someone's politics does not equal hate. Yes, but as I am sure you can tell from the posts here and what you probably see on FB, there is a difference between someone who holds a different opinion than President Obama and the people who are referenced in this article. Let that be a life lesson as well. |

I read the article and I'm glad Autry is learning to defend himself and wants to donate money to other victims of crime. He wants to stop riding the train and ride a motorcycle instead. Good for him.

I detest these threads.
Someone posts a news story and says, "I bet [fill-in-the-blank] won't comment on this." Then there is criticism when nobody bites. Then the sniping starts from both sides in earnest and the thread careens downhill.
It's a trend and I don't understand it. It rarely (never?) results in authentic discussion. (Of course, many political threads careen, but this type seems guaranteed to careen.)
