... of the singer ... and then when you see them, they look NOTHING like you pictured them. Which in this case was like Seal ... I certainly wasn't disappointed  Just surprised at how far off my mental picture was based on his voice. My family all pictured Meghan Trainor as a tiny dark-haired teen (with a booty, based on the lyrics, lol) from hearing her sing and then she's this gorgeous curvy blond. Who did you picture totally different than how they actually looked? |

I absolutely agree with you about Meghan Trainor. Blonde I was not expecting at all.
More recently I saw an interview with Hozier and he was not the person I had pictured. He seemed too thin for that powerful voice and a bit nerdy. I was expecting a little bit more of a badass type of guy.

Reading your thread title, I immediatedly thought of George Ezra. DD was watching SNL last Sunday morning and I made her rewind so I could see what George Ezra looked like. I knew he is young, but my response was kind of "he is soooo young". Love his voice and great smile.

I so knew this was going to be about George Ezra!  I heard him singing on the radio while I was shopping and tried to remember some lyrics to google search. All I could remember was "out there waiting" or "I'll be waiting" Of course I could not find any song that matched his voice. Luckily my son in law had an idea of who he was and eventually sent me towards "Blame it on me" The lyrics were "What you waiting for?"
I downloaded his album, I love his "listen to the man" clip with Ian McKellan. I definitely imagined an older, long haired, man. When you hear him speak with a Bristol accent it is quite weird.

When I saw your thread George Ezra immediately came to mind before I even realized that was who you were talking about as well.
My jaw dropped when I saw him!

The first song I heard of his was "Like Real People Do" which is a mellower song but I still pictured someone bigger and badder, like you said.
