I went to an estate sale this morning and I made the greatest find for $20, I am so excited to share it with you! They are I guess old wooden sewing machine drawers but they will be perfect for tools or embellishments. It's a little rough right now, I plan on cleaning it up and probably putting a coat of fresh white paint on it. Oh and not as exciting I got these two cart things for $4 each. I would love a Raskog, but these will do just fine in their place. Attachments:

how fun! they do look like old sewing machine drawers... I love when I find unique & useful things like that for organization!!
(lucky you, that you can go to estate sales on Friday! I always have to wait till Saturday, and the best stuff is usually gone by then.)

Hubby and I usually go on the last day in the last hour to see whats left but on the ad we saw that the homeowner was a woodworker. Hubby is looking for tools so we went early. I usually work Fridays but I got good friday off, lucky me! It's a weekly date for hubby and I, we go see what treasures we can find.

OMG! I have one of those wheeled carts in my storage closet just holding junk! I've been wanting a Raskog, too but I just can't justify spending the money. I'm off to throw out some junk and make that cart my own. Thank you for the idea!

And you could probably use some sort of drawer organizer trays, silverware drawer organizers, etc. to hold the smaller stuff in the wire mesh, or fabricate some sort of 'tray' out of chipboard, matboard, etc. so that small things don't fall through the wire.

Love those drawers! For those of you interested in the Raskog they are down to 29.99, and well worth it!

CrimsonCat, great minds think alike. For today i used a divider tray I have in the top shelf and the bottom one I put an old cardboard 8.5x11 letter tray thing I have. I plan on doing something a bit nicer and more divided soon. Attachments:

I really appreciate the info, but as someone still trying to finish college $30 is a big chunk of my budget and those wooden drawers were my spoil of the month! Hopefully by this time next year I will have a job and not only the Raskog, but all kinds of new goodies to fill it too.

Great price on those drawers. I use similar ones in my craft room, and they are great for pens, and even inks.

Lol - I have an antique oak sewing machine cabinet for my vintage Singer that has those exact same drawers!
