Does anyone have any suggestions for online scrapbooking with PSE classes? I've watched Sande Krieger's videos on 2peas and Jessica Sprague's free video on PSE. Anyone know of any others? I prefer the ones that are to the point and not all chit chatty and hemming and hawing around. You know, the ones where the dogs are barking, music playing, kids running in and out, etc. I started watching a you tube video the other night and the gal kept going "um" and had the sound turned on for her mouse clicks. It was driving me nuts! I turned it off!!
Sorry, don't mean to sound picky, but that stuff just gets on my last nerve. I really liked the Jessica Sprague video I watched. She is very focused and professional. Short, sweet and to the point.

What are you wanting to learn? Hope that doesn't sound stupid. Are you wanting to know how to use the tools or actually learning how to scrap digitally?

I took Jessica Sprague's classes. They are awesome. I took the first 3 levels. They are very well done. I learned a lot and can still refer to them when I forget how to do something.

Have you ever checked out Creative Passions Classes ? I checked what is available in self-paced and Jana Morton has several classes available-Blending and Beyond is a great place to start. It is like you are looking over her shoulder watching her PSE screen You also get a road map that takes you step by step thru the layout and ypou also get to download the videos to your computer to keep forever. There is also a forum for questions. Also the class is available to you for life. That is where I learned a ton about digital scrapbooking. You can check out my blog ifd you want to see some of the results at Grammas Happy Place

I'll third Jessica Sprague. I took all four in her series - Up & Running, Now We're Rocking, Digi: In Deep and Digi: In Deeper - and she did a Bootcamp that was a lot of fun. She's a great instructor and has a soothing voice. I've watched others on YouTube, but I prefer JS.

Scrapaneers is phenomenal. (I'm an affiliate, but that's not an affiliate link.) You can also view a lot of tutorial videos on Tiffany Tillman's personal site, Simply Tiffany Studios.

I just checked out Scrapaneers and I'm considering the K.I.T. class for recipe organization. When I was in culinary school I ditched my 3x5 recipe card box for a three ring binder with the recipes in page protectors. But I've been looking for a way to pretty them up, for when I share with friends and family.

I took a six week, 12 lesson online digital scrapbooking class using PSE through www.ed2go.com which was quite thorough. I learned a lot. What is nice about their format is that there are two lessons with assignments and quizzes released each week so it isn't all dumped on you at once. Each lesson builds on the previous one so it helps to reinforce what you've learned as you go along. One thing to note with ed2go though is to check around to see if a local school or Community Ed in your area is listed as one of the schools to take your class through because the cost can be as much as $40-50 LESS through Community Ed for the exact same class. I wish I had figured that out before I spent $149 on a Dreamweaver class I could have taken for $99!

I followed sandy K's videos but haven't really done a 'class'. I find what works for me is to get a few basics then to have a go at a layout or two. Then if I get stuck or want to learn more about a particular area I look for a video or how-to on that aspect eg using shadows. That way I'm learning what I need in small chunks and apply it straight away. There are a lot of great resources out there!

We have the U of A, which is expensive, a community college an hour away and a technical school where I have taken some evening classes. I went to nursing school there as well. I took a photoshop class there a long time ago but it was geared more for photography.
I am checking out the links everyone has provided. The scrapaneers, so far look like more what I am after and less expensive, but I have only looked at one. I also really liked the free one I watched at Jessica Sprague.
I will also look into the link you posted.
I appreciate everyone's help.

I have books and DVDs from The Digital Scrapbook Teacher. I like being able to look at the book then review the DVD if I need to actually see what to do

Just so you know, the Ed2Go classes are still online classes that you do at home at your own pace, whether you sign up through a local school or through them directly. I've just found it to be considerably less expensive to register for the classes through a local school. If you go to their site and find a class you're interested in, I think a button pops up when you go to register that allows you to find a school. That's how I discovered I could "take" the class through my local community ed and pay less. HTH!

It shows they are through the U of A and will cost $87.00 which I didn't think was bad. Some of the local classes here where you actually go to the classroom are over a hundred dollars. It said at the top enrollment dates, so I take that to mean those are the actual dates of the classes, not self-paced.

WOW! To go through Ed 2 Go the cost is $149! To do it through the UofA is $87 and is instructor led. Is that how you did it, crazy4scraps? Do you have to be online at a certain time to do the instructor led class? Sorry to keep asking questions, I've just never done a class like this before.
