Last night I went to Value village (its a higher end thrift store I guess you would call it). I have found some scrapbooking stuff there on occasion so I always look. Last night I saw a Zyron 250 it was listed for $4, it had about half a roll of adhesive in it. Thought great maybe there would be some more scrapbooking stuff around. I already have a Zyron so I don't need this machine..look around more on the shelf there is a new in box refill for the zyron..for $0.99...so I scooped that up. I was so excited.
So I look in the arts and crafts section and I found a package with a lot of odds and ends in the bag is $5. In it is 5 sheets of 8.5x11 sookwang full adhesive sheets a bunch of Jolee's (which are of no use to me, but I knew someone who could use them) about 10 sheets of 8x8 paper which was lovely, and a cut and emboss new cuttlebug folder.
I was very happy for my $6 find.
I just had to share with people that would get it.
Actually I got another great deal last weekend at a yard sale. The original sizzix machine and 5 large dies and 4 small dies (all Christmas themed) for $8.

Congrats. I never find a good deal, but then of course I don't get out much so I don't really have the opportunity to discover any.

I love Value Village, I have found lots of things there for various areas. Scrapbook stuff well not as much as I like. I generally find it on the shelf in the office supply area, in the picture frame area, or on the walls in the arts and crafts or office supply area.
I have purchased most of my furniture for my scraproom there. I got fantastic deals of very large white boards and cork boards. Stuff to alter, etc.

Congrats on a great find. I never get bargains like that. Once I was at LSS away from home and bought a used fancy corner punch for a couple of bucks. When I got home and tried it, it did not cut right. The bill was stamped final sale. That's the type of luck I have.

Awesome finds! I never thought to look at my local thrift store for craft supplies. I usually just hit the books section. I will have to see if mine has any crafting goodies.

Those are wonderful finds! I would have grabbed the xyron adhesive in a minute! Those are so spendy, but so convenient.

I once found a completely full Xyron X at our goodwill for 99c. I snatched that puppy right up!

Awesome! I have donated scrapping supplies (never a Xyron refill though!) to Value Village, but I have never seen any for sale at my local one.

What wonderful finds! I never find deals like that. I do find a lot of old books and old music books that I cut up and use on cards and flowers. I guess I ought to drop by more often! Congrats to you.

I recently found a label maker with 6 rolls of tape for 1.50 at my local St. Vinnie's. I've also found sequins and cool old buttons on the cards there, usually about .25 each.
