I have a situation in my craft room now. I rearranged things a month ago and did not immediately obsessively label like I usually do.
So, I really do not know where stuff is. It's vaguely organized and more open. So I can see stuff.
I grabbed three photos yesterday and made a lovely layout. Two more today with another layout.
But I also grabbed stuff randomly and it all worked on the layouts. It was not very organized and controlled. But the layouts are just fine.
I am random scrapper. Hear me roar.

I'm random in that I don't necessarily scrap all my Christmas photos at once. I may do a couple layouts, get bored with it and switch to hockey layouts.

I scrap random projects/themes jumping all over the place chronologically, but I'm definitely too OCD to just make a layout with whatever happens to be laying around. I'm pretty organized with my photos, shopping and thought process so I always have something specific in mind when I'm buying stuff or looking for things to work with a certain group of photos.

I think I would call my style sort-of random... (how's that for wishy washy, lol??)
I have all my 'like' supplies in 12x12 Iris cases (e.g. stickers & labels in one, wood veneer & bling in another) and I dig through them for things I like / might want to use on a page, so there is no rhyme or reason as to the mfg company / types of embellishments chosen. I will mostly stick within whatever theme / color palette I've chosen for my layout, except for pops of random accent colors.
I think at least a little random-ness is good for creative inspiration!
ETA: I always scrap 'random' photos in that I do NOT scrap chronologically. I scrap whatever pictures spark my imagination.

I do the same thing. Grab a couple of pictures here or there and make a layout of it. At least I'm getting something done!

I do a little bit of everything depending on my mood, how much time I have to scrap, and what projects I have planned. That's what I thought everyone did. I think you'd have to explain to me how non-random works if that is all you do. LOL (But even that would be different for everyone, right?) I do have albums where I plan out specific layouts, pick specific photos, etc. Then I also scrap where I just pull what I feel like working on - might be trying to get rid of old stash, or pictures might be what I grab first or sometimes it is a specific product. I don't think random means that it is not organized or not in control.
Today is a grab and go day for me because I didn't feel like planning specific pages for the albums I currently have planned. And, it is a grab and go using up old paper. First up, I'm using up what I have left of Basic Grey's What's Up with pictures from last year's Rally Day at my church.

No, not random. Sadly. Currently I am doing two vacation books from Jamaica. I will say that I am not scrapping those vacation pictures in the order that I took them. Forty down sixty to go.

Yep! I am a random scrapper. When I'm not scrapping vacations, I scrap random photos from random moments with random manufacturers!

I am not random. I am a bit obsessively chronological. Right now I am working on my teen years and while I jump around within a year, but I have all the photos in an album in page protectors.
I will work on this project until I finish, hopefully next week, then I will jump to catching up on current photos. Then I will choose another project and work on that until it's done.

Random scrappers unite! ? I do not scrap chronologically, I just can't. I will look through my pictures and print a few different ones out. In a session I could end up scrapbooking Christmas, Halloween, and some random pictures. It's how I roll and I like it.

Another OCD scrapper here, although I do have quite a few gaps in past albums that need to be addressed. Random layouts would be very freeing, but I can't see myself doing it.

I'm completely random lol. Sometimes I get started on a project like a baby book and I'll stick with that until I'm done. Other times....I see a neat layout I want to scraplift and so I'll quickly do that layout and store it in my working binder.

Yep! I am a random scrapper. When I'm not scrapping vacations, I scrap random photos from random moments with random manufacturers! You are a wild one! There are a few areas in my life that I am weirdly anal. (Is that a term?) Scrapping is one of them. Vacations are the priority. Each one gets it own book (2 - one for each boy).

I am completely a random scrapper. I pull photos that I have printed over the last few years. Whatever speaks to me is what I scrap. Then I mix and match my supplies. Pretty much every layout is a mix of new and old. My papers aren't even sorted in any way.

I have definitely been scrapping this way lately and enjoying it immensely. I think it has come about because I'm making myself use my stash (which is quite substantial!). I've also been grabbing photos that are already printed. Then I sit down and find some paper and a layout I like and then jump in. I look thru my embellishments as I go along. I've been getting 2 or 3 layouts a weekend done this way so it's working for me right now. I really like the variety as well. I just recently finished a Disney trip that morphed into a double album so this is a nice change of pace.

I guess I'm pretty random too. I've never scrapped in chronological order (I figure the date is on the page, right?) I'll work on pets for a while, then decide I need a change of scenery and make a stack of cards. Right now, I'm prepping 2016 calendars for Christmas gifts. One of them is always a beach themed calendar, for my beach loving SIL. But this year I'm even changing that one up a little bit. I'm really looking forward to my week off coming up. I've made notes on things I want to get done, got folders of photos saved on my laptop to upload to Walgreens and for once, my scrap room is actually organized!

I scrap random in the fact that I scrap whatever appeals to me at the time but it goes in my album chronologically. It has been so long since I've done a traditional LO. Maybe a year? Yikes!
