Iliana decided to shut down the Mistified group on FB and move them to a message forum but most of the members didn't like that so they created another group called MISTIFans and it is very fun and active. This group is not affiliated with the MISTI, we are just fans of the tool. Mostly we share tips, projects and fun stuff! If you want to join we'd love to have you! MISTIfans

Mistifans is no longer a facebook page. It's sad to hear that the creator of MISTI threatened the group ( with lawyers) to change name of group and not use MISTI on it.
I really enjoyed this group. They were fun and learned a lot from them.

Ya..."Threaten" seems to be her middle name and her job right now. I just think it's sad.

I haven't read all of the posts on the Facebook page but I want to say the admins have kept it classy by not discussing the details. I don't understand why in the world the owner would see this as a bad thing and want it closed. I loved the pace and all the chatter. I have not purchased one myself but there were many on the page that did because of all the excitement generated. I agree with Ceescraps, it's very sad indeed.

Paranoia seems to have it's hold on her. She seems to freak out whenever someone mentions that there are manufacturing flaws in some of her products. I will never buy another product she is associated with - particularly in view of the fact that it is an expensive product and she only offers a 90 day warranty. Stamping is a fairly close knit community. Word of her childish dramatics will get around fast and can't help but hurt her business.
The group on Facebook was forced to change it's name to Stamping Enablers. I don't think she deserves and obviously does not appreciate all the kind free publicity she has received from the group she so callously tried to shut down. I hope that the content broadens or at least starts to focus some on more deserving company's products.
All I can say is that I am waiting for Karma to do it's thing.

Yesterday I saw where a few had posted they had craze lines on the lids and a couple of members posted pics of their homemade versions. I think that is when she decided to cause problems for the group. I did not join the new group today because this is the 3rd group and she keeps shutting them down. I did enjoy all the beautiful cards that were shared. Honestly, I have no idea why everyone takes down pics of their versions and seems scared of her threats. Has anyone been sued by her, has she followed thru or is it just the threat that scares people of her? I'm just wondering.

They just couldn't get the name of her tool out of the group URL. The newest group is a clean break from her and will stick around

From what I understand, Iliana was not a member of the MISTIFans FB page which was a closed group. That means it was a current member of the FB page that told Iliana that pictures of DIY tools were being posted. I'm assuming that's when she got her panties in a wad and made the legal threats.
I'm also pretty sure one of the Splitcoast moderators, who has a bug up her butt about "rules prohibit making a member the subject of a negative post" was also a member of the MISTIFans FB which to me was a can of worms waiting to be opened.

Grown up girl drama......is the first thing that comes to mind. The second thing is.......free advertising that she is bashing........how do companies grow? Word of mouth I would think to start with.

The group is more fun now anyway because we don't have to walk on eggshells anymore and have the freedom to discuss anything stamping/cardmaking/crafting related. We still have all of the resources for Misti users, we just don't focus on it anymore. It's a great fun bunch of crafters so if you like fb you should come join us! facebook.com/groups/StampingEnablers

Honestly, I had never heard of the MiSTI until all of the drama unfolded here. It sounds like a neat little tool. I would have considered buying one for card-making and stamping, which I intend to do more of in the future. Maybe WeRMK will have one out by the time I need it... Wow.

@thekatsmeow - I agree, the new group is great. Thanks for taking on the challenge. Sorry MistiFans didn't work out - it's a shame people let paranoia dictate their actions.
