I have both an old blue Wishblade and now a cameo.... when using Sil. Studio, I am telling it that the page size is 12x12 and the cutting mat is 12x12....but it looks like it still thinks the cutting area is for the smaller mat and gives me the yellow triangle saying "the media size you have chosen is too large to fit in your electronic cutting tool. The maxmimum media width is 9.0000 in."
Any idea how to make Studio recognize that I am now really able to use the bigger mat? I added an attachment that shows what my screen looklike.
Thanks for the help!

Do you have the Cameo plugged in and the computer has recognized it? Have you restarted the software after plugging in the new Cameo? You can only have one plugged in at a time. I would encourage you to update your software - you are way out of date on it. The new version looks different, but works the same. The new version has some fantastic updates (you can back up your library easily - and transfer it to other computers and auto save). Click on UPDATE YOUR SOFTWARE to get to the new update. Don't just reinstall the software - do the update and you won't lose anything. Re-intalling can wipe out the library. www.silhouetteamerica.com/software/silhouette-studio** if you are using XP - I would not update to the new V3. But do make sure you are at least up to V2.9

Thank you...once I shut down Studio and opened it back up it was as I needed it. There is only one machine plugged in at a time.
I know my software is old....but it is the version I need to use with my Wishblade as well...and is quite functional at the moment! I do have instructions for ruinning 2 versions on one computer, just have not ye taken the time to get it set up!

And here I thought I was the only one still using the ole blue Wishblade. Just bought the Cameo - now to play with it this next week.

I am pretty sure the new V3 works with the Wishblade also! That is one great thing about Silhouette - they make all their stuff still work down the road. I think you can even use the new style blade in the Wishblade? Maybe? I know for sure you can in the Silhouette SD.

Yes, you are right that V3 can be used with the blue Wishblade. It is the combo of Windows 8 and V3 that is not working well with the blue Wishblade!
My wishblade was a paperweight for many years until I ran across the info that Studio could be used. I've used it so much in the last year! I recently bought the cameo, but have just used that a few times. I went to a weekend crop a few weeks ago and took the wishblade with me (not the cameo)....just made more sense based on what I was working on and the size made it easier to pack up!
I have not tried the new style blade in the Wishblade....still have blades for it that I bought a long time ago!

Windows 10 is coming! I have heard it is much better than 8, and all Windows 7 and 8 users will get a free upgrade for a year. I do love Windows 7 though!
