A community like twooeasinabucket. I'm a slow scrapper and really new and trendy with ton of technique isn't a huge priority for me. Feeling included , enjoying the process and having fun is. I was in a few swaps that have been dropped and some of the scrappers challenges I was a part of slowly stopped. Please tell me where you go to find inspiration, advice, and feel a sense of community. I would love to visit.
Thank you!!!
Christine

this site and ScrapnYap gives me my sense of community when it comes to scrapbooking. other than that, I don't go to crops or do outside stuff other than shopping at the SB expo. none of my friends and family SB but I'm fine with that because I enjoy crafting by myself so I can focus on my project at hand.
as far as inspiration, I find lots of it online in blogs and Pinterest. I find it in new products and new techniques that people are talking about.

A cherry on top has a very nice community, active gallery and lots of challenges if you find yourself looking for some ideas.

I am missing two peas, too I miss how active it was on the scrapping side. I also need challenges and a sense of camaraderie. I still haven't found a true replacement, but I am still glad this board is here. I just wish it was more active and filled with peas I miss. I don't hang out there much, but the Studio Calico boards are pretty active and they have some good trendy challenges and ideas. Hip Kit Club has a big Facebook group as their forum and they have some great challenges and whatnot, but FB isn't my preferred place and I tend to miss stuff in that format. But those are options. I also joined the "paper issues" FB group and it seems like a pretty positive group of people as well. It's connected to their online store, but doesn't feel exclusive. I do love to shop at A Cherry on Top and Scrapbook.com, but just haven't felt like their MBs are my thing. Not sure why. I also feel sort of weird on MBs or FB groups for kits or businesses that I don't use or buy from. I never felt like that at 2peas, but I did buy from them occasionally. It's a weird road, huh? I've been kind of melancholy lately thinking of my fave scrappy hangouts from the days past.

Is scrapnyap taking new members, papersilly? How do I find it? I think someone pea mailed me about it a long time ago, but of course I don't remember!

I hear you OP. I really miss having a monthly magazine show up in the mail. I always found great inspiration there.
Now I usually hit Pinterest.
What I miss most of all are my monthly gatherings at Archiver's and in-store Friday night or Saturday crops.

I'm not a member at cocoa daisy but sometimes lurk because the fabulous Stashbusters challenge that was on 2peas is over there now. I agree with most of what alissa103 said especially about the forums at ACOT and scrapbook.com not feeling like "my thing". I wish this board was more active.

Just contact the admin about getting added. A bunch of peas here are members there too. They started a year before this site did. Their SB board is far more active than this one.

Is scrapnyap the site that tons of peas went to about a year before they shut down? Two peas had made some changes to the site and wouldn't respond to peas' questions and comments and there was a mass exodus.

At least we have each other here, even if there aren't many of us. I think it would feel more lively if there weren't so many sub-boards. I wouldn't mind hanging out with the stampers, mixed media and others, but I don't check in on those boards much. The MISTI fiasco was interesting to watch unfold.
I've gotten inspiration from company blogs, Splitcoast Stampers, YouTube, galleries, and Pinterest, but this is the only scrapbook community that I feel a part of. Somehow, we all just "get" each other, don't we?
I appreciate everyone who starts a thread when there's a scrappy subject that pops into their head.
I'm nostalgic for my beautiful little LSS that closed years ago. They had great products and fun workshops. Those were the days.

I wouldn't mind hanging out with the stampers, mixed media and others, but I don't check in on those boards much. I agree with this. I'd be happy to read and respond to some of the PL threads and I'm sure I'd learn things from the stamping and mixed media threads but I never think to go and check them out.
I also miss how lively the old Two Peas used to be and I've noticed this board has slowed down a bit since it started so I've been trying to contribute more to help keep it alive. So far this is the only place I feel at home.

Sorry about the Stashbusters challenges. I just wasn't able to devote the time to it anymore.

I've been trying to be more active over here, too. If people see there are new, good topics and helpful answers to their questions, I'm hopeful they will participate:)

I am so glad that we have this new 2Peas, but I agree - nothing feels like home like the old 2Peas did.
I've been hanging out at Get It Scrapped lately. The ladies there are very warm and welcoming! There is a subscription-based portion to their website, but the gallery and forum and some other stuff is open to all, and all are truly welcome.
I never feel quite right taking part in message boards when I don't shop at the store.. so although Paper Issues, Studio Calico, etc, have active forums, I feel weird posting there as I don't buy their kits.

I was a active member at Scrap N Yap for awhile and then a rule was in place you have to post at least once a month to remain on the site. Which is fine. Well I got sick (not just your run of the mill sick) and was unable to post one month and I was removed. Tried to find a way to get my acct back and it said it was closed to take new members.
I'm a member of Paper Issues fb group. It's ok, I never post I kinda feel weird because I don't sub them.
I been a member at Sb.com for as long as I was on 2peas.. I never post anymore because I don't feel the same vibe I would get at 2peas. Plus the boards are slow.
I kinda gave up having a scrapbook home. Blah..

Thank you all ! I like it here too, but as most if you agree it's not the same. I will be looking at all the recommended places. I'm so glad I brought up the subject.

Two years ago, I started participating in the ACOT NSD. And that is my home now. I like the forums, they offer a lot of challenges too. No drama either.

ScrapJazz is a nice community. They have a Challenge Board, a General Scrapping Board, a NSBR Board as well as others. And a great gallery.

I am so glad I am not alone on this. I love this board but was just telling a friend of mine that I needed to find a place that would do more scrapping. Challenges, ideas, galleries, etc. I just need something to get my mojo going with my scrapping.

What I don't look forward to is the time it takes to get used to a new board full of people I don't know. I was a pea for 10 years.

Oh - one more thing about ScrapJazz. We are doing two sets of NSD challenges. One set will be posted on Monday morning and submissions will be due on Saturday. We decided that since everyone is all over the place geographically, many of us work and all of us are busy, busy, busy this would be a chance for most of us to participate. The other set will be posted on NSD, one an hour starting at 10AM Eastern time and ending at 8PM Eastern time.
Come on over and play with us.

I recently joined the ScrapGals Community on Facebook, and have really enjoyed it. It's pretty active, and I like the positive, chatty atmosphere.
