Oh Sue I don't know how I missed this earlier. I do hope things will be more positive for you today. I know it's easier said than done but try not to worry about the negative side until you have some more to go on. Will be thinking of you and hoping for a more positive update from you soon (((((hugs))))

Thanks for asking about me. At the moment I am no further forward. I saw my GP, but there was nothing in my notes . The hospital rang one of the part time GPs last week to say the result was abnormal but that was literally all she wrote on screen! They were supposed to be emailing the results through but didn't and she didn't chase it up. The GP this morning was embarrassed and frustrated . However he promised to find out what was going on and get back to me by lunchtime, and I rang at 5 as I heard nothing and he had gone home- without contacting me. So right now I am in limbo and not feeling every confident! He did say that the normal procedure is to refer me to the two-week colposcopy clinic ( ie I should be seen within two weeks) but with the bank holiday next Monday and with the delay over my missing results he can't guarantee it. I will update when I know what is happening.

I have called but I have been told I now have to wait for the appointment from the hospital and I am apparently not allowed to contact the department myself as it's a 'closed appointment service' with it being a two week 'urgent appointment' arrangement. The referral was faxed yesterday . The GP still hasn't received a copy of the result so I'm not sure what detail he could put on the referral! We have a bank holiday here on Monday which means a loss of a days appointments. Will see if I get anything Tomorrow!
I took my daughter for her colonoscopy today, which went really well and no abnormality seen. We were there by 7.30 and on our way home by 9.30! It pretty much means she has IBS, which I know can be nasty, however it's better than my fear that she had followed in my footsteps with colitis or colon cancer!
