With all the deals people were talking about at Tuesday Morning and Joanns, I had to go check them out. Only to find out that they're closed! I swear I shopped at both of them in the last year or two. Obviously, not often enough.

That's a bummer! I shop off and on. I like to see stuff in person when possible. I'll go for long streaks when I don't go anywhere or buy anything, and then there will be a spurt where I probably hit every store around here. Our TM just moved to a bigger, nicer, closer location so I'll be going there more. It doesn't hurt that there is a Michael's and JoAnn's right nearby, and two Hobby Lobby stores opened less than 10 miles from me. But as for a REAL scrap store, I have to drive anywhere from 40 minutes to 1:30 to get to one of the few that remain.

Our Joanns is not too great, so I'm glad we have TM nearby. Too bad yours closed. I hope Michaels doesn't take over the world. I'm not a Recollections fan.

Oh no!!! What a bummer I also go in streaks. I haven't shopped in about 3 years, other than a few online orders here and there or popping into Joann's for adhesive and getting a few things that caught my eye. I attribute that to having a baby, moving, having my scrap stuff in boxes for what seemed like forever and just feeling like there wasn't time. I finally feel a bit more settled and my scrap room is now nicely organized. So I have been scrapping again! Which means I've wanted some new goodies. Which means I wanted to shop. I also discovered Tuesday Morning. I had no idea they had such amazing stuff. So now I'm kind of addicted. And I don't care that it's older, because I haven't been shopping! So it's all new to me!

Alissa, I don't care if it is old either. I bought some paper packs and an album at Burkes Outlet yesterday and a couple of scrapbooking books there the day before. All were in the clearance aisle of an OUTLET so I got a good deal. I glanced through both books and got some ideas, so at that price, $2 something, I bought them. Wish the paper packs had been that cheap but they were cheap enough and enough paper in there that I will use.
All I have here is Walmart, the nearest LSS and Hobby Lobby is 75 to 80 miles away and I haven't been there since October 2013. Been buying most stuff online.

I just went to the LSS and got a few things. I'd rather keep her in business anyway, even if Joann's/Michaels/Tuesday Morning have amazing deals.

I go in spurts as well. I wish my sort of local Tuesday Mornings wouldn't have closed. It wasn't until I read on the old two peas they had scrapbook stuff the store was no longer there.
I can't remember the last time I bought scrap stuff until this week. I had some birthday money and blew it all on SB items. My son's doctor is somewhat near the SEI outlet store. I bought 2 paper pads, a stack of paper, 1 stamp set, and a few embellishments for about $40.00!

I am thankful to have a decent one somewhat close now. If I only had a Michael's I would have to resort to online shopping as I went recently after hearing complainers here and couldn't find a single thing in the store I was even tempted to buy. I get tempted more at HL or joann.
I think I need to take a few weeks off from going to TM at least as I have purchased too much stuff lately. I am very happy with my purchases though. I need to start using my new and old stash.
