I bit the bullet and purchased a Selphy 910 and slowly learning how to use it. Are the settings on the printer just for printing directly from a memory card (and maybe a USB stick)?

Yes. You can print from the APP if your selphy is online, have you uploaded the Canon to your phone/tablet ? If not, you can attach it by the USB cable or use a memory stick and use the buttons on top. (I have the Selphy CP900 but am assuming it is the same)

Not sure what you mean, but you can also print from wireless devices that have Bluetooth such as phones, laptops, tablets.

Sorry for the confusion. On the printer if you use the menu button and then go to change settings, you can select things like print finish, borders, colors, etc. I'm wondering if those settings have to do with using a memory card where you see the actual picture on the little screen. I haven't been able to use the edit button, since I haven't seen a picture on the screen. I've only used picasa to print (where I have already done the editing) or directly from my camera using pictbridge.
My memory card for the camera is too small, so I can't edit photos on the printer. On a side note, while trying to figure out pictbridge, I found out I can do all this cool editing on my camera.

I am having issues printing from the computer with a USB cord. I also could not get my Selphy to print from a memory card or a flash stick. AND I know I have done it before. Or thought that I have. I had to manually move the picture from the PC to my phone and print from there. There has to be a better way to understand this wonderful little printer. I do love it but it just seems to have a mind of it's own sometime.

Tried to print from PSE last December w/ my December Daily album but got so frustrated that I just used app from iPhone. |

I still miss my picture mate with the five colors and black...I just don't get these fabulous pictures that everyone raves about. I did eventually get it to print from a flash drive, it's been a while, but I think the printer has to be on when you put it in. My memory card is too small, so I can't use it. I can plug my camera into it, but it's a pain to edit photos, so I just use picasa. I'm glad I used credit card points instead of cash, but it is nice being to print off a picture right away with out having to send them out.

So I am still unable to print from my computer. |
