I just realized as I went to post this, that I've never started a thread here! And boy, this is a scintillating one! What's your favorite meal at a Chinese restaurant? I generally get General Tso's Chicken or Pad Thai, but am always interested in trying something new. I just never seem to!

I always have to have the pan-fried pork dumplings and the Shanghai (fat) noodles with chicken. I also love chicken hot-pot. Yum!

I go in spurts, every few years it changes. Lately it's Pepper Steak, Shrimp Lo Mein or Sesame Chicken. And Crab Rangoons.
Thanks, now I really really want Chinese food!

I love bourbon chicken, moo goo gai pan, chicken fried rice, chicken in garlic sauce and Lo mein. And egg rolls.
I only eat Chinese food about twice a year but those are the ones I like!

I usually get the General Tso's combo. It comes with the chicken, fried rice and an egg roll. I sometimes get Crab Rangoon, but I'm the only one in my house that likes it and it isn't as good reheated.

Mu shui pork has to be my all-time regular Chinese restaurant favorite.
I have other dim sum faves, but have no idea what they're called as they just bring the plates to you and you point to those you want.

I have a nasty reaction to MSG. My serious orange allergy keeps me from eating at places like the one in all the malls--I can't remember the name.
I do love PF Chang's. They welcome Gluten Free and allergies, and the manager will ensure that a new wok is used and there's no contamination.
I love their honey chicken and honey shrimp. The sweet and sour chicken and pork is also good. I also like the lettuce wraps.
Wei Pei sells frozen sweet and sour chicken at the grocery store that's really good.
I also love the Pad Thai at Noodles and Company. There's not a lot of authentic Asian restaurants in my area--within 10 miles. Dh and I loved going to our local Thai place for Pad Thai when we lived in Chicago. There were so many great mom and pop restaurants.
Dh and I haven't really searched around here for more places just because it's not worth the money since I can't eat that much anymore. There is a Mexican place that we really like--no matter how bad I feel, I can at least eat their amazing beans and rice.

I love Sesame Chicken. Not very exciting, but I enjoy it. Same. Or if we're at PF Chang's, I get their honey chicken. Nom.

Shrimp or chicken lo mein, spring rolls, chicken broccoli, sweet and sour chicken or General Tso's chicken. I like most Asian food, and at a decent buffet I'll try about anything except sushi! Love the local takeout place on LI when I'm in NY visiting my family. Moo Shu chicken or pork is a favorite.

I'm not typically a fan of Chinese food because most of it I consider super unhealthy, unless you get steamed meat and vegetables which is kind of "yawn". But my go-to meal when I'm sick is chicken and rice soup.

It's either Cashew Chicken or Sweet and Sour Chicken.
Some places I will order Sesame Chicken, but only if I know it's good.
Crab Rangoon, pan fried noodles and egg rolls.

My favorite is Mai fun which is like pancit. It is made with rice noodle and I like it with shrimp.
I also like drunken noodle which is Thai not Chinese and has no alcohol, but I like it with thin noodle not the flat noodles. For Korean food I like bulgogi - most people do if you like beef.
I also love chinese chicken salad.
I love many Americanized Asian foods, in other words those that are made a bit more mild and less exotic (like sea serpents and such, lol)

We go to a Chinese buffet place about once a month and I always get the same things! Coconut shrimp, sweet/sour chicken, vegetable fried rice, crab rangoons, pork with broccoli and carrots, those little fried donut things and watermelon, pineapple, cantaloupe from the salad bar. Then to finish it off I have a Rice Krispie bar and a fortune cookie.

I eat way too much Chinese food and have a favorite dish depending on which restaurant I go to. PF Chang - crispy honey chicken and lettuce wraps. Panda Express - orange chicken and chow mein. At different restaurants I'll order chicken broccoli, cashew chicken, crab rangoons, or my favorite, peanut butter chicken. Guess what I want for supper now!
