I plan on calling SIL.com, but if any of you have had this issue, what did you do? DH wiped my PC clean to install a new hard drive. I have the original attached as backup. The files I have purchased are nowhere to be found. I tried a recovery and it found nothing.
Any suggestions?

Caroline's instructions will recover all your purchased files from the Silhouette Design Store. They give you 3 resets from their store. If you had files from other sources, you will need to go there and re-download them. You will have also lost any additional fonts you may have acquired. The new Studio software has a backup feature now. Click File, Library, Export Library and export it to an external drive. This will save a lot of frustration down the road if you do this on a regular basis. You can also transfer your files to a different computer this way. The Export does not count against your 3 resets from the store. If and when you need the back up - you do the reverse. File, Library, Import Library and you will be prompted to log in to confirm your account and it will restore your library.

Yes, you will need to do the recovery that was posted above. I had to do that after my whole computer crashed.

I wonder if they have changed the times they will do the recover, this is the reply I got when my laptop died. 'Thank you for your alerted concern. Please rest assured that Silhouette America maintains a database of all Silhouette users and their download histories. In the event of a computer crash, computer replacement, or reformatting, after re-loading the software onto your computer, you may recover all previously downloaded content as follows' Also if you have the design studio, you can do this, I never thought to share that before. The following steps can be taken to apply a license key and upgrade to the Designer Edition version. 1. Open the Silhouette Studio® software program 2. Go to the Help menu 3. Select Activate License Key 4. Enter the following: Designer Edition license key Silhouette account email address Silhouette account password 1. Click on the "Submit" button The license key will then be applied onto the account and the software will be upgraded immediately. If you need to locate this number, you may find it by signing into your account either in the Silhouette Design Store in the software, or by signing into your account at www.silhouetteamerica.com. Once logged in, you may go to the My Account page. Your license key code will be listed under Silhouette Studio Keys. In the Silhouette Design Store, the number is listed at the bottom of the main account page.
