I do wonder if it's a generational thing to some degree. When I was in my 20s I'd never heard of/come across girls who removed everything but my DD says it's very commonplace nowadays. Is it something of a change that it's become a norm whereas perhaps it wasn't 30 years ago. I've always wondered about the this also. When I was younger, the norm was not to remove all hair, but maybe to trim the outliers (so to speak.) There really were no landings strips, bald spots, or anything other than bush bush bush. It is kind of hard to get used to the idea of removing all the hair completely to me.

I prefer my DH to be bald. When we got together in the 90s, he had a glorious mullet. He shaves his head once a week. I don't believe I 'control' him by liking him bald. It's a preference. Just like some people like their partner to have no pubic hair and some like it.

I have a pro-choice stance. Your body, your choice. No one should be *made* to groom any way for anyone. I don't care . Trim the garden bare, leave a little, trim sculptured hedges, shave the name of your favorite team, whatever, what difference does it make, do what YOU want. That's why it's called personal grooming.
I can't really think there's a 'wrong' way. There's a whole lot I'm not going to do, but that shouldn't stop anyone else.

I agree it is a pro choice thing. If you like it do it. If you don't leave it.
I do it because we like it. It's my choice.

I totally agree - to each their own but I do think that on the whole its something that has become more common relatively recently, perhaps like tattoos. If you don't know any different you may not realise it wasn't always that way.

eh, I think women do it for themselves too. I also think that your average 9 or 10 year old girl has hair on her legs, and no one makes a fuss when a woman wants to remove that. Some woman choose to wear no make-up. Are they trying to look like young girls? Plus, there are many, many ways in a which a woman's body looks nothing like a girl's body, hair or no hair. It just seems like a silly argument to me. (When presented as an argument, not when just presented as an opinion.) I think it's all yet another way of judging and/or shaming woman. Ladies, you have hair...do whatever the heck you want with it. (ETA: Same for the men...do what you want with it. But I have to wonder why it would be okay for the guys to bare all but not the ladies.)

I went full brazillian once and didn't like it. DH enjoyed it, but hasn't asked when I will do it again. Personal preference.

Also, from the male perspective, if any of them have spent any time perusing certain publications, they most likely have no issues associating bare labia with full grown woman.
They may have had that association since before they were grown depending on whether or not they got their hands on certain materials at a younger age.

For awhile I have thought about bringing this up, but didn't want to start something that might bounce into places I didn't want to go. But, I was reading something over at jezebel, so decided I'd dive right in. Topic: removing all hair from the pubic area I realize that some swimwear makes it necessary to trim up that area...... But, IMO, if your partner insists you be smooth as a baby there...........well, perhaps he wants a prepubescent girl. (yikes, I said it) I hesitated to say it as I didn't want to offend anyone, but that is how it strikes me. I was reading an article over on jezebel and it contained this info: only pedophiles are attracted to bald pubic mounds., according to renowned evolutionary psychologist Gordon Gallup.
I realize Gordon Gallup is not the authority, but I found it interesting that someone else had the same thoughts I do...... FWIW, the article at jezebel is about men removing hair: (warning--big photo over there) powderroom.jezebel.com/the-pubic-wars-enter-the-mantrix-1602575312/+burtreynoldsismyspiritguide1Anyone want to discuss? This reminds me oddly of a post on 2Ps where someone claimed if your DH liked your DD to have long hair he was a pedophile or something like that. Who was that? Your body, your choice. I've been bare. Generally I'm very very short and neatly groomed. DH is bare and I like it. Different strokes...

I would be in the hairless from the neck down if I could as well. My body, my choice. As for guys, his body, his choice.
I do prefer my men to be fairly hairless. Those "sexy" beards that everyone loves.......ewwwwwwww

About 2 years ago I went bald because I wanted to, and I LOVE IT! I'm blonde, so for me it's very quick and easy and smooth and clean. Turns out my husband really enjoyed it too! It's been awhile, so I'm sure the novelty has worn off for him, but I'm glad to know that this loving, caring, hard working, responsible husband and father is actually a pedophile

I use to never shave-just trimmed a little. Then once I shaved it all I found that I liked it. It is sooooo much easier to deal with, cleaner (to me) and not as hot!

I don't think arm pits are *generally* viewed as sexual. I had an ex who asked me to grow armpit hair because he liked it. I did, for a few years. Then I got bored and shaved it off.
I like SO with no pubes. I don't like them on me or him. I have a very narrow landing strip that is cut way, way short. Like a very short little vulva mohawk. But, I also have a hood piercing, so it "sets it off" like a ring on a jewelry box. (that sounds kinda weird, sorry)
I also trim his chest and armpit hair in the shower for him regularly. I find thick and full chest hair to be icky, personally, and shaving the pits is better for him when he sweats. He shaves his own pubes, but I told him I would if he wanted me to.
