That is preloaded on it? One feature I really like about the Samsung is the calendar bc you can see events listed on the calendar vs a dot the iPhone calendar features.

Are you looking at the full-month view of the calendar? Touch the dot that covers today's date and then you get a full list view of each day's activities, according to the color-coded categories that you've set up (in my case, each person has a different color).

I haven't tried Calendar 5, but I've tried several that I just don't stick with. I actually think my problem is me, not the calendar apps.

Agree the iPhone native calendar app sucks. I've been using Pocket Informant for several years. It has a view where you can see an entire month at a time and each day shows appointments and times. There are limitations due to the size of the iPhone screen, so the appointment descriptions are truncated and pretty small, but even if all it shows is "Dent 4:30" it at least reminds me that I have an appointment at 4:30 and if I can't work out that it's the dentist, I can tap that day to see the detail. It syncs with the iPhone native calendar app, so you can enter appointments using that, or Siri, if you find that's easier. It also syncs with Toodledoo, where I keep all my to-do lists.
You can also set up multiple calendars, each with a different color display text, all of which you can see in one view. For example, I set up all recurring stuff (kids' activities, etc.) in one calendar that displays with green text, school closings in a separate calendar that displays purple text, etc. so that I can more easily see what's going on.

I love Cozi but use it mostly because you can color code each household member. Love the free version!

I also use Cozi (paid version).
Everyone has a color & my husband/daughter can update their events & see what is going on. I also like the grocery list that I can access at the store & that I can print out the calendar every month so my son has a copy.

I like jorte calendar. It looks like a regular calendar. Then you can click on a date and item to see details.

I use cozi. I love that it's a family app, so anyone can add an event at anytime and it updates everyone's calendar. I also like that it has a repeat feature for those weekly, or monthly events.
I also like the list feature for shopping and that items can be moved up and down the list by dragging.

I also love this one because my kids have access to the shared calendar and can input/update their own information. I haven't tried the grocery list feature yet, but I have been told that those can be shared as well, so if someone needs something specific from the store, they can add it to my list. It's sort of like the electronic version of the note on the fridge LOL.

And I like that (and I'm sure most calendars can do this) it can have multiple calendars displayed at once, so my gmail calendar and my work calendar are different colors but visible at the same time. Well worth whatever it was that I paid for it. (And I hate paying for apps!)

Another Cozi user. I think one of the reasons I like it is because I got my whole family onboard. So not only do they refer to it,but they input dates as well. It's been an asset for the whole family.
