I would ask Akathy if I could be her daughter. Something about her feels very maternal and comforting. I would love for you to be my daughter! You are such a smart girl and seem so well adjusted and mature. I love that about you I'd be proud to have you for a daughter!

I'll play! pudgygroundhog, I'd love to know if you ever studied photography and took classes. Or is your talent innate? I really love when you post pictures of your trips. Patter, are your girls identical triplets? Aww, thank you. No classes - just a lot of practice, online tutorials, and the odds and ends picked up from messageboards and other online sources (the old pea photo board had a lot of great info and helpful people). It also helps that we hike a lot - great scenery helps a lot.

I want akathy to be my mom, too, but I'm not sure how well that would actually work, because she's only six months older than me. And I'll take anxiousmom for a (much) younger sister.

I would take her as a mom too, it would be nice to have a mom again. But I'm pretty sure I'm older than akathy so that really would be hard to make work.

I'd love to be your mom too! I seem to have that affect on women. One of my best friends is just a couple years older than my oldest DD and we tell everyone she's my long lost daughter I had as a teen and gave up for adoption. It's surprising how many people believe it

I would like to ask sharlag if that is her natural hair colour (how's that for personal) because it is a very pretty colour and really seems to suit her. Of course, I like all colours of hair since I don't have any colour in mine.

For the record, I'll take all the daughters I can get. As a kid the only thing I ever wanted to be was a mother and I gave it my best. I was fortunate enough to be a SAHM and I took my "job" seriously. My DDs aren't perfect but I'm very, very proud of both of them

I would like to ask sharlag how she comes up with all the interesting and fun questions she asks. I look forward to her threads because they are fun to read.

LOL that's so funny because I've thought the same thing. We are too close in age for her to be my mom - not 6 months close, but close enough

Of course, I like all colours of hair since I don't have any colour in mine. No it's not! I use Loreal and pick a light brown or medium brown. Lately, I pick the ones with the highlight stuff you can do after the color. Thanks for noticing! ~Zoey~ , I'm glad you're entertained by olive oil, mustaches, sheets and toasters! It's a stream of consciousness thing, usually. I'm often surprised when people chime into respond to the mundane topics I post.

Your girls are beautiful!! You must have shared the pictures or the link before because I know I have seen them in the not too distant past. But, I didn't read the story until now. Wow! What a roller coaster you must have been on. So happy that Baby A is here and celebrated her 20th birthday with her sisters. Thanks for sharing!

Even though she was the one they thought that had died, the other two are the ones with all of the health issues. It has been a rollercoaster for the past 20 years but I wouldn't change it for the world!!!!!! They are my joy, and I loving seeing the women they have become.

Patter, I love that in the more recent photo, you can see their love for each other, but also how they have all developed into different individuals. Even though it is only a photo, you can see their personalities in it.

Thanks! Last night I was talking to a friend from high school who is an identical triplet, and thinking that if your girls were identical that would make four families I "know." And I hope your daughter gets some relief soon from her back problems -- hugs to you all. Agh, thank you! She has a spinal fusion surgery scheduled so looks like we will have surgery no. 3 in 7 months. Ugh! Anyway, here are some photos of them from birth through age 20 if you are interested. triplethescraps.blogspot.com/2014/09/20-years-ago-today.htmlPatter, that was such a treat, seeing the photos of your daughters! Thank you. I've always been fascinated with twins, triplets etc., especially identical ones. I only know one set of identical triplets IRL, and it's been interesting to see them grow up and become more individual. Another question for you, Patter, that I think of every time you mention your girls: I have a 9 month old and I'm exhausted. How did you cope when they were babies???
