Wednesday, at work, we had a full building evacuation drill. I work on the 39th floor. By the time I walked down 39 flights of stairs, my legs were jelly. Yesterday, my quads were in crazy pain. Today my calves are screaming at me - I can hardly walk!!!!
Do you think that's telling me that I need to get off my ass and do something?

No, I think it's telling you that you need to work on a lower level LOL! I swear walking down stairs or down hill is harder on me than walking up. Hope your legs feel better soon!

That is a long way down! I had to do that once. It was actually on 9/11. They evacuated our building, I was 7 and a half months pregnant and had to go down 40 flights. I think I went on maternity leave shortly after.

Ouch!
I normally work from home. Last time I was I the office though they had a fire drill. We were on the 22nd floor. I had never been there for a drill before. I was sort of looking forward to the experience. But the drill just involved the building fire drill leader (I am sure he has a more official title) came and talked to us. We all crammed into the lobby area on our floor. It was hard to hear him and he talked about the right way to walk down the stairs.
I wasn't there but they had another drill this week. My boss and a co-worker went down to the cafeteria and had a meeting. The fire drills are generally announced beforehand. Large sign is put up in the lobby of the floor.
