I have the silly little thing that I made to hold my glue and Stickles that I might be using at the time. I found the idea on pinterest and made it about a year ago. It still makes me smile.

Lots of stuff in my room makes me happy! I have lots of awesome supplies and some very cool storage pieces. But I think one of my favourite things that makes me smile are my great-aunt's paint brushes. She was an artist and after she died, someone gave me some of her old supplies. I don't paint like she did, so I don't use her brushes, but I like having them around as a reminder.

I added a shelf right next to my desk that holds my paper cutter and photo cutter when I'm not using them. Not exactly 'make you happy' exactly, but more like a 'duh!' moment. Now, I have extra space ON the desk to actually work!!
ETA: similar to Ashley, I have vintage 'heirloom' (so to speak) in my craft room-- the electric clock that used to sit on a ledge in my Grandma's kitchen. It doesn't work any more, so it just sits on a shelf and makes me think of her and good times spent in her kitchen.
I also have a couple vintage I really like that I've picked up over the years that I think are really cool-- a huge wooden protractor (it's about a foot across) and an over-sized wooden ruler; they hang on the wall. (I think maybe they were used for teaching??)

It makes me sad to think that I'm old enough that something I remember from school may be considered vintage... but your post totally sparked a memory of a large wooden protractor that always sat propped up on the chalk ledge of my grade 2 classroom. I think it probably would have been 12-14 inches across.

'collectible' Ashley, not vintage!! lol!! (and tell me about it-- the 1980s are retro, now-- I graduated in 1987, and that's just wrong!!)

I have a little shelf that is all wonky and half painted pink, the other half never got painted. My son made it for me in school. He was proud of it and I love it. I have some little knick knacks on it and it is right next to my scrap table and makes me so happy.

I have an antique railroad cabinet that I got from my aunt. It's about 6' tall, 2' wide, 15" deep or so and has a bunch of shallow drawers in it that used to hold train schedules. A different aunt worked for BN Railroad and she acquired it when the railroad modernized and computerized their schedules in the '70's. She got it for my uncle who used it to hold paints, brushes and supplies. He dabbled in wildlife painting as a hobby and was actually quite good at it. He changed professions, moved, and decided he didn't need it anymore and that's when I got it. It's old, it's worn and has a great patina and it makes me smile every time I look at it!

I think the pieces in my studio that make me happiest are my Stampin's Things pieces made by my dear friend Sue. She passed away from breast cancer, and I cherish each piece I have from her.

My entire craft room makes me happy... except when it's in need of a good clean/reorganization... which is right about now!

I saw an idea on Pinterest. It's a little wooden shelf attached to a backing, and the shelf itself has four holes in it big enough to hold a small canning jar. I printed off the picture of it and showed it to DH, and he whipped it up for me, bless his heart! I keep brushes in one, pens and markers in the others. It's attached to the wall right above my craft desk and it is just awesome.

On old white cupboard that was in my grandparent's furnace room and the Coca-Cola and red accessories I use for storage. One thing that makes me smile is the top right drawer has a divider and it fits Cricut cartridges perfectly on each side.

I have a clear plastic cover on my scrap table. Underneath the plastic are tons of pictures from the last 21 years of raising my boys. The pictures are just plain funny.

I recently made a 4 sided rotating ink pad holder out of a thrift store find, which was a rotating CD holder tower. Cost me $7, $2 of that was black foam core from the Dollar Tree. I love it. Finished it on Mother's Day with the help of my husband. He kindly cut all of the shelves for me, because I didn't want to. LOL

Thank you. I really enjoyed hearing about the things in your scrap room make you happy. Like another poster, I was a little sad to hear about an item that I remember using being described as vintage. Lol

When my DD was 10, she is now 23, she made me a card (which was kind of a mini album) "10 reasons why I love my mommy". I have the card on a shelf right above my crafting table!! It totally makes me smile every time I see it!!!!

I call my space "My Cave" it has no windows and it's just a pantry/utility closet with no electrical outlets BUT it's my space and I make it work. It makes me happy because I never had my own space.

How did I miss this thread?
My favorite things in my space (and the space itself is lousy) would be the StorenSpin w/my name on it that my friend Kathy surprised me with and all my green boxes from a company called Kyoko (I think) that are no longer available. Of course, just looking at all my goodies makes me happy!
One of my favorite things is a border punch. I think I've only used it twice as the flowery patterns isn't something that works w/most of my pages. I love it because my father-in-law (who, like most men, knows absolutely nothing about scrapping) saw an ad for it in the newspaper and bought it for me. Overall, he is not the nicest person which makes the gift even more special, lol.

I love my scrap room! Crazy as it may be, the color of the walls is probably my favorite thing. It's a gorgeous bright apple green. It makes me smile to see it. of course the washi wall, paper racks, and polka dot baskets help too!
