I got a great deal on the 4 packs of flowers. I want to plant them today and was wondering if I had to break the packs up, or can I plant them in a cluster of 4. So can I just pull them out of tha plastic container and plant them as a bunch?
I have always broke them apart before and I think they look so thin then, but I am afraid that if I keep them as a cluster they will overcrowd each other.
Thanks for any input.

You can plant them as close as you like as long as there is room for them to expand around the outside of the planted group. I like to gently loosen the roots before planting. They get off to a better start.

Annuals I just smoosh in together because I like a lush look, and after the season ends, they're outta there. Perennials I'm more careful with spacing.

I pack my flowers tightly and they do well. I only put perennials in my beds. Those I space out more. I just finished planting 27 pots. Thankfully I only have one more to do another day.
