I'm back to making cards after a very long hiatus.
I am finding a lot of sources and inspiration for making the cards, but I'm having a really hard time with what to write on the inside of the card.
So - card makers, where do you go for inspiration for sentiments for the inside of cards? I'm just not eloquent enough to come up with sayings on my own and I've not found much help by searching the internet.
Help, please!

I have a hard time with the inside too. Usually I just make a money holder and write Happy Birthday, Love GiantsFan and GF's DH. But I recently bought this set => Birthday Messages from Simon Says Stamp. SSS also has one for friendship and Hero Arts has a couple too. In their search box type 'messages'.

I have to admit.... I sometimes. Get insides from commercial cards.... I make them on the computer..., occasionally I get inspired on my own

Paper Smootches has some fun sets of sayings too that have word stamps that can be combined for inside and outside sentiments that coordinate.

I struggle with inside sayings too. I don't want to type them up on the computer, I just want to stamp something on the inside and then have us sign our names. As it is now, I tend to leave the inside blank and have my 16 yr old dd sign for us

I'll check out some of these ideas. Thanks!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who struggles with this problem. I have been feeling very uncreative and dumb because the proper words just don't come when I need them.
Thanks again.

I google poems or saying for the insides of cards, or use some of my many scripture stamps on the inside left of the card. Other times I have another stamped image on the inside of the card.

For grandchildren,I often find a children's joke. Like knock knock. I use scripture a lot, too, and poems. I use biblegateway.Com to find appropriate scripture and my favorite translation.

Oh my gosh, Gale! What a wonderful resource. I've heard of SCS, but never joined. Well - I just did! Thank you so much for pointing me in that direction. (The last card I made I resorted to um - shall we say "lifting" a phrase from an online greeting card. Generic "Thinking of You" sentiments are really hard to come by. I'm a very beginning stamper, but I'm sure to find a lot of inspiration on SCS. Thanks again. Karen
