I know it's only May but I'm calling it. No one can beat this new baby name, as seen just now on my Facebook feed
Terrance Zachary Till
Which isn't so bad except that the parents are asking everyone to use the short version of both the first and middle names and call him......wait for it......wait for it........
Terry Zack Till
I shit you not.

Yeah, it's a little weird, but at least they're giving him normal names that he can use for the rest of his life.
And the "dino name" is a bit of a stretch. You have to say the whole thing fast a couple of times before you even hear it.
I think he'll be one of the lucky weird name kids. The name's only weird if you want it to be.

Are the parents actually grown ups? Seriously?! Yes, who thinks naming their kid after a dinosaur is a mature thing to do?

Yes, who thinks naming their kid after a dinosaur is a mature thing to do? Eh, I think it's cute and fun and harmless. He has normal names. They're not even spelled funky. As an adult, nobody would know about his dinosaur name unless he chose to tell them.

As an adult, nobody would know about his dinosaur name unless he chose to tell them. Except the parents are apparently asking that he be known by shortened versions of his 2 first names.....so while strangers won't know, plenty will. No harm, just daft....a play on words they found amusing but the parents aren't saddled with it themselves.

Our office processes statements and I came across the name Fierce Justice Lastname a couple of months ago. Sounds like some angry parents to me!
Poor Terry, but maybe he will like being named after a dino!

So if he doesn't like it he will just go by his preferred name once he's old enough to express a preference. I just can't get my panties in a wad over this one. There are many far worse names out there.

Maybe he'll grow up to be a paleontologist! In that case, it would fit.

ok I confess, i totally didn't get it until reading the comments.... I'm glad I wasn't alone in this! I read the name several times over, even said it out loud, but still didn't get it. When I came back to the thread and read the comment about the dinosaur, I still had to go back and make my brain really think to figure out what it was supposed to sound like.

It took me several minutes to process the abbreviations and get to the Dino reference.
But I'm blonde..so that probably nullifies my opinion.

Oh my.
I saw it right away. Hopefully it doesn't stick and people just shorten it all the way to Terry.

It took someone talking about dinosaurs for me to get it at all. But then there was this girl named Candace Barbara MacHine.....yep, it's true born in 1971....she got married in 1994. From Texas.....knew people that knew her.

Maybe they're aviation buffs. That was the name of a very popular ultralight a number of years ago.
