I despise the crazy thing.............I believe it is possessed. One load will spin out............the next load won't. We've done every troubleshooting suggestion we can find. It started doing this within a year of purchase but we assumed it was because we were putting too many clothes in it. It is only 2 1/2 years old. It is a top loader. I won't have a front loader. If you have a top loader that you love, please tell me the model/brand...........I'm buying another machine THIS WEEK.

I have a Maytag Bravo and love it. I've had it 3-1/2 years and haven't had a problem.

I do not love anything that has to with laundry. But as far as washing machines go, I have a GE Profile that I like just fine. I am Ms. Cheapo McCheapington and bought it a couple of years ago from Lowes. It was the previous year's floor model, and on sale-and further on sale under one of their all appliances are whatever percentage off deals. I am old, and pretty much have a good idea of what I use and don't use when it comes to the bells and whistles, and this one suits me very well. I would say it actually does more than what I typically need. It is a top loader, HE, and I haven't had trouble with it. Perhaps not a prestige machine...but it works great. My only issue with it is that I have yet to figure out how to bypass the feature that would allow me to fill it with water and soak things.

My Whirlpool Cabrio is a couple of years old and so far so good. I had a brand new Kenmore Elite refrigerator that, like your washer, is complete crap. We bought it six months ago in October and it had 5 service calls and $1,500 in repairs/parts. Last week, after many e-mails, phone calls, and some swear words, a replacement refrigerator was delivered. It's the exact same model so we'll see if my first one was a lemon or if they're all just $3,000 pieces of crap.

Huh, we love our Kenmore HE top-loader. Sorry you're having an issue with it!

We had that spinning out issue with our top loading Whirlpool. Before the Whirlpool, we had a GE front loader (hated that thing with a passion).
We now have a Speed Queen and I cannot express how much I love it. No bells, no whistles. Solid as a rock with all metal parts and washes a load better and faster than any machine I've ever had.

We went back to Speed Queen top loader after having several $$$ junk front loaders that didn't last more than 4-5 years. My Speed Queen might not have all of the bells & whistles, but it's a quality set that is made to last. When we were first married we were gifted a used set that lasted more than 19 years. This set should last that long, or until I'm tired of it and ready for a new W&D. When it's that time I will likely buy another Speed Queen.

I'm not sure what "spin out" means unless you mean the water doesn't drain? But we have a Whirlpool top loader (from Lowe's) and it works very well (knock on wood). Our old machine did this thing where the clothes were still soaking wet unless you ran the spin cycle twice, I think it was a Whirlpool also but it was not HE and was 10 years old.

Not a top loader, but I"ve had my LG HE front loader for 10 years now and it's still going strong. I do so many heavy loads of towels each week (bath and pool) all year round. A few times I've had to clean the lint trap on the washer, but that's about it.

We have a Fisher & Paykel that we love. It has been an amazing washing machine, and the clothes are so dry out of the washer that it takes a fraction of the time to dry them. Win-win!

My Whirlpool top loader is 18 years old! I have not had one bit of trouble with it until recently I noticed that it doesn't "agitate" as hard as it used to so I may be in the market for a new machine soon.

I have a good old utilitarian top loading Roper. I've had it 8 years now and it's worked great *knock on wood*. My husband keeps suggesting we get a new set and I am totally dragging my feet.
