I follow trending scrapbooking styles, but use whatever is in my stash that works on my page.

I tend to be late on picking up on trends ... so I'll tend to start using them when everyone else is picking up on the newest!

I like what I like. I just discovered stars. I love stars now. I went thru the circle phase after they were popular. the most recent trends I haven't been much of a fan now. I loved cameras and film strips years ago and now loving that I can get more stuff because they did become popular. And stuff always makes it way back around

I work with whatever catches my eye...old or new. I don't follow a lot of new trends I'm with you. Whatever I like or catches my eye. New/old doesn't matter. Just has to be "my taste".

I love to try most of the new trends, but like anything else, I get bored after five or so pages in that style. So I bounce to something else, get bored with that and look for yet another thing to try. The last page I did had washi tape and one of those fold-over ring designs you could make with a Coluzzel template. That tool has to be more than 10 years old now.

I do both. A lot depends on the pictures I'm scrapping. This! The focus of each layout or project is the picture and I only use what will enhance the photo(s). I enjoy trying new techniques and using new products with my older stash if it showcases my photo(s). I have tried lots of trendy techniques on papers without a photo to see if I want to use it on a layout...some I use and others I don't use. I have never done a successful ink/paint splatter on a trial page and never use this trend on a layout or project.

when I'm doing dt work I use what's provided which is the latest stuff but when I craft for myself I use what's on hand. e.g. the bookmark I made last week had Sassafras products that are several seasons old.

I guess I am a trend buyer . I'm a sucker for a pretty new paper line. But when it comes to actual scrapping the picture or event leads me.

Generally, I use whatever is on hand. If I do scrap something trendy, or with a trendy technique, it's because I genuinely like it and not just because it is on trend. I've been scrapping a long time, and I've amassed a ton of stuff, so I try to mix some of my older stuff along with the newer stuff.

I tend to gravitate to buying the latest trendy stuff, but only paper and embellies. I don't care about the latest and greatest trendy tools, die-cutting machines/dies, stamps, ribbons, or flowers. I mix it all together- oldies but goodies and new fresh paper and finishing touches.

I get a kick out of finding old stuff to mix in with my new stuff! This is totally me. I usually take a while to catch on to the trends and often after I've seen them over and over in other people's layouts. I'm guessing now that there are no more 2peas videos I won't be jumping onto any passing bandwagons for a while.
I love trying to make my older stuff feel current and sometimes that means mixing it up with a newer, trendier product or technique, but I try to stay true to my style at the same time.
