With the upcoming loss of a much-loved cast member on NCIS, I was wondering if there are any shows you stopped watching because they killed off one of your favorite characters?

I don't know can't recall. Though I don't watch Greys anymore. I lost interest, not because of the plane crash and its fallout but shortly thereafter. I'm not sure it was loss of cast or the show just didn't hold my interest anymore.
I nearly left when they killed off George

When John Carter (Noah Wyle) left ER I quit watching. There was no more magic. I tuned in for the finale because he came back for that and because I wanted to see them close it.

Yes, I stopped watching Person of Interest after they killed off Officer Carter (Taraji Hansen's character). I didn't really like the whole Root storyline and I loved the interaction and friendship between Jim C's character and Carter.

I thought i just lost interest but I do wonder if it really is cast based. I mean not like I'm boycotting the show *because* they killed off XYZ. It's more like when they change the cast sometimes I just loose interest and I just stop watching slowly.

I know these two aren't really the same but I stopped watching Newsradio after Phil Hartman was murdered and 8 Simple Rules after John Ritter died. I think both shows did a very good job of dealing with the very unexpected deaths but I really liked both actors and just found it hard to watch subsequent episodes.

I actually stopped watching NCIS when they killed off Kate. I really wanted her and Tony together. I tried to watch episodes later on, because I really like a lot of the other characters, but I never warmed to Ziva.

It's not the same and that one woman that goes around shooting with two guns just seems ridiculous. I have no idea what her name is,

I lost interest in Downton Abbey after they killed off Matthew. I kinda did too. But I realized that it was more Anna's rape that turned me off more than anything - sometimes I feel like rape is used too cavalierly as a storyline. I just didn't like it and I pretty much stopped watching.

I lost interest in Downton Abbey after they killed off Matthew. I knew I was forgetting a big one! Yes, this. And for absolutely no other reason. I just was not interested in seeing Mary without Matthew. It killed me that they didn't get their happy ending, and I could not get over it.

The quality of Law & Order : SVU has gone down since Chris Meloni/Elliott Stabler left. The crimes are always high profile celebrity issues or one of the detectives or their family members are somehow involved. I miss the old SVU.

I'm not sure which it was either, but I lost Carter on Person of Interest AND Will on The Good Wife so I was unhappy with two shows at the same time!

As soon as I read the spoiler (on here of course) about Sweets, I deleted the episodes from my DVR and haven't watched it since.
