I need some creative ideas and who else is better to ask then the Peas!?!?!
I work for a conservation office and we are going to have a booth at some community events advertising various programs we offer. Instead of the typical display we want to do something a bit different so we are going with the theme: "Growing Conservation in -----County".
So my plan is to have flower pots with a painted PVC pipe coming up to represent the stem of a flower/plant and then a foam board with the information of a specific event/service. In all we will have 11 different boards. The boards will be attached to the PVC pipe.
Following me?
So I am now trying to figure out if I should carry the theme further and try to create some sort of leaves on each stem and how to do up the foam board so that it is visually appealing and not dull. I have a Cricut so can cut flowers to decorate the boards but not sure if I want to go that route.
Anyone have any thoughts on how to make this more creative?

Is each of the foam boards coming from a single PVC stem? Or will you attach multiple foam boards to each pipe? Just trying to get a visual.
What shape are the foam boards?

There will be 11 flower pots with one piece of foam board on each pipe. The boards are fairly large---20x30 to start with but might be changed according to what I do with them.

I was wondering the shape of the boards, too. As in, cut them in a flower shape and have each flower be an informational board? Is that right? I think it would look odd just having a square at the top of a PVC pipe stuck in a pot. For leaves, can you make take-away info sheets in a leaf shape?

Oh, and as of now, the foam boards are still just rectangles. I have considered trying to change that but am afraid of losing too much space plus I think it might be difficult to cut them. I am not completely opposed to doing it though.

Cut petals from cardstock and make the board the center of the flower - much easier than trying to cut the board itself into a shape.
You could by banana leaves to attach to the pipes

I would cut the foam board into large circles for the center of the flower and add petals around the outside of the circles to form the flower. Making the Pvc pipe different heights will make the display more visually appealing than all flowers being the same size. It will also help differentiate the information. Felt, foam sheets, poster board, wall paper might be used to make the petals. You could use the same type of materials to add leaves.

Your idea sounds neat. Just another idea of where to display.......
Our school started inviting different groups like this to explain and display things during out Spring Open houses. It seemed to work out great. There were community libraries, fire/police dept, summer camps, etc there.
Each of the various groups had their own table and they set up/broke down the night of the open house.
