On Sunday we met friends for brunch at a local Crackerbarrel. It was 79 degrees outside and we noticed a collie in the car next to us sticking his nose out the tiny cracked window for air. My DH went inside to find the owner. Crackerbarrel's policy is not to make an announcement but to alert wait staff to see if they could find the owner. We waited a bit and when no one appeared we called to the police to send someone.
Just a reminder...please DO NOT LEAVE pets or children in cars!!!!

I had to call the non-emergency number the other day. It was 82 out, and there was a small, chihuahua type dog that had been in the car for at least 30 min. w/o the windows even being cracked. The owners came out before the cops got there, but they asked for the direction they were headed. Hopefully, they found them.

We had two last week- here and we had 100 degree temps last week  The children were okay thank goodness. It happens a few times every year. |

I had my neighborhood garage sale last weekend and someone walked into my garage frantic because there was a car parked in front of my house with a baby inside. A lady put down the kids stuff she had in her hands and ran to her car to get her son. WTF?

I know it makes me mad even with the pets too, they crack the window the dogs and the dogs are panting like crazy and I think what the crap! It's still over 100 degrees in the car!
