I always sang that to my daughter as well. I always remember my mom and my grandma singing it to me when I was little. I used to sing 3 Little Birds to my DD and to my new DS. We love us some Bob Marley. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg) My daughter sings it to the new baby all the time; it's adorable.

My boys won't go to bed without Danny Boy.
I sing a lot of Beatles, Simon and garfunkle, and traditional Irish songs.
Others in the regular rotation: Annie's Song, All the Pretty Little Horses, You are my Sunshine, Three Little Birds, Favorite Things.

My Mom used to listen to and sing Que Sera, Sera by Doris Day while she was in the kitchen. It stuck with me. My mom used to sing that song in the kitchen too! My dad would sing a few different funny slightly off color songs and she would get on his case about it, LOL. They both had great voices, it was fun.

What a sweet topic! YES! I sang to my kids. I sing to every child in my care. I love making up songs. I love singing lots of songs to them. I used to sing, "Whose Your Little Who'sis" to my kids because my mom sang it to us (I think it was in an old Jerry Lewis movie). I sang every song from Olivia Newton John's lullaby cd to my kids (love it!!). Kids respond to sing-song moments.

For all three of my children I used to sing two older Paper Lace songs that I loved as a girl, and knew the words to, 'Billy Don't Be a Hero' and 'The Night Chicago Died'. Also, I would sing a song we learned in French class, 'La Seine' and I would recite a poem I memorized for German class, 'Die Lorelei'. For older ds, I used to sing 'You Are My Sunshine'. Sunshine became my nickname for him, and I found I could not sing it for younger ds and dd. Even now, dd, 15, will sometimes lay down with me in the evening and ask me to sing the songs for her. ![](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Just thought of another one, but this one was for my youngest DD's two little girls. We used to have them quite a bit when they were younger, and I would sing Barry Manilow's "Can't Smile Without You". They learned the words and would sing along with me. So sweet! Gosh, I miss those days. Now that song will be in my head all day! LOL!
