Last weekend was my cousins crafting weekend. 10 of us attended! I completed 65 pages. I just uploaded 21 layouts to the gallery if you want to take a look. A few of the pages I uploaded contain goodies from ashley at Things That Shine. I'm going to try to upload the rest eventually. other highlights: we had 3 make and takes (a face sugar scrub, a card, a gift bag-- perfect for Mothers Day) I made four gift baskets and gave away tickets all weekend for a raffle at the end We did a sock/underwear drive for the Foster Closet of (our county) that my sister runs and collected an entire tote of undergarments. I spent 3 days with 10 of my amazing cousins and sisters.

This sounds like such a wonderful time! Please tell me you had page kits prepared in advance in order to get so much done! Yes, I had page kits I made up! scrappington and scrapaddie. I packed them so heavy this time, that even though I hauled almost my entire stash, except for a few pages of cardstock, I didn't pull anything from my stash to use. So next time, I'm just taking my kits and my big tote that has tools and cardstock. And since I kit so heavy, I keep a basket to throw unused embellishments and paper in and when I go to kit for the next retreat I go through there and pull first. Saves me from having to refile most of it, lol.

Thanks! I've only been on the app and didn't even know there was a gallery. I opened it in my browser and wow! I've been missing out!

You posted before your pages when you massed qty making weekend..again I am amazed at the detail of them. they are not simple pages yet you pull off a ton of them. Thanks scrappington. For me, the trick is not overthinking (or even thinking too much about) a layout. I kit them so far in advance, that when I open the kit, I really have no idea what will come tumbling out and certainly have no pre-conceived ideas for the layout. That helps. If I've included scraps/paper bits/pre cut mats etc, generally I use as is, without further cropping. I just layer as is. Sometimes I cut the pics, sometimes not then I just arrange, layer, tuck until my eyes say STOP. Everything left over goes in a basket for future kits. Very rarely do I rearrange... I just glue and move on to the next layout. Admittedly, by pre-kitting, most of the thought process is done ahead of time and in phases that help me focus better.

This makes a lot of sense. I seem to get stuck on picking out papers and a layout. Maybe I could preplan a bunch of pages.

Sounds like a fun time was had by all. That's great that so many in your family are scrapbookers and crafters.

Sounds like a great weekend! And wow, did you get a lot done! I always power layout and I NEVER get that many pages done. Oh, who am I kidding? I don't get half that many pages done! I have another crop at the end of the month. I will count how many I actually complete and report back.

I only make kits before I go to a crop. If I take too much paper I just spend the time pondering. It is frustrating when I forget something, but I can usually make do.

Very nice pages! You must feel amazing to get so much accomplished!
The first thing that stood out to me is I can see my son's name on the flower on your gift bag! LOL

LOL Julie That is so funny, stampbooker. As I was punching circles I noticed the "f" word on one of the circles (a discarded book). Had to be careful to look the circles over as these were Mothers Day gifts for a rather conservative bunch
