We took my 90 year old mom to her favorite place, Captain D's. I figure at 90 she can go wherever she chooses.

Cowboy caviar with tortilla chips and jalapeno poppers (still slow cooking on the grill). Since it's Mother's Day, it was my choice, but no one will complain. We will also be eating in the living room while watching TV. We do that about once a month and it is my younger kid's favorite.

I went over to my parents and cooked for them and my siblings and their families. I made a huge pot of spaghetti, enough to feed everyone and leave my parents dinner for tomorrow, along with some garlic bread.
My parents are moving in just under 30 days so we all pitched in and cleaned out the attic and brought everything downstairs for them and then we took them out for ice cream after.
It was a really nice day but honestly, I over did it and am hurting a bit tonight.

We had "spiedis", a local dish which is chunks of marinated meat, grilled on skewers and eaten on a piece of sliced italian bread. Ours were pork today but I usually buy chicken. We also had corn on the cob, caprese salad, and strawberry shortcake.
My kids and their SOs came over. We had a late lunch and spent the later part of the afternoon napping. All in all, great day.

We're going out! A very tasty Chinese restaurant that serves wine flights!
This morning DH made Eggs Anna, which is very similar to Eggs Benedict, except with avocado instead of the ham. DH makes the most delectable Hollindaise sauce!
I'm very spoiled today.

My DD made dinner for us. We had shish-kabobs, wild rice mix, and sauted fresh corn, with a delicious strawberry cake for dessert.
