I can't have been the only one that saw the story about adult coloring. They focused on a lady in Illinois, Shyla Jannusch, that holds coloring parties! I was so excited....once again we are ahead of the trend! Here is a link: Adult Coloring story

My mother has Alzheimer's. She spends hours a day beading, makes necklaces. She enjoys entricate things and patterns... I purchased two adult coloring books for her. I hope she enjoys them.

I've had adult coloring books for a long time, and just gave some to my teen and adult daughters at Christmas. Love it!

I was just at michaels waiting to check out when I spied all the kid's coloring books by the registers. I giggled to myself when I thought of the coloring thread and remembered how much fun I used to have when I was a kid and I got a brand new coloring book.

How cool would it be to host parties like that? You could have a potluck and everyone could bring pages they printed at home for trade. One for each person so everyone gets a new coloring page when they get to the party!

As I mentioned in another thread it's very theraputic. I do puzzles at night before bed. They are on my iPad though, can't have real puzzles in our small house with 3 large dogs and a cat ![](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

They have tons of free puzzles available as well as paid ones. I always do a couple before going to sleep every night.

I got one of those adult coloring books from Michael's and a pack of 72 colored pencils for my mom for Mother's day. I decided after reading here and listening to a conversation she had with one of the grand kids about how she still loves to color, that would be the perfect gift for her. She absolutely loved it. ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/TKS2q_7siLiFtq0xPQvx.jpg)

whaaaa-- electronic puzzles??? How have I not heard of this?? I love jigsaw puzzles, but we can't leave them sitting out either, with three cats... I think my app is called Magic Puzzles. It is a lot of fun Magic Puzzles, definitely. In fact I got this one after asking here about people's recommendations for jigsaw puzzle apps. I like Magic Puzzles because the pieces go into place with a "bing" and stay there. Also there are several different difficulty levels based on number of pieces -- so you can do the same picture with just a few pieces or a lot of pieces. Also you can choose whether you'll have to rotate the pieces or not. You get coins as a reward and you can use those to buy new puzzles. But there are also free ones, and there's a one-free-per-day for every month. I love these puzzles. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/MNrJDkDuSwqIMVw33MdD.jpg)
