The shaking seems to have lasted quite a long time - must have been terrifying for people living around Everest, and aid convoys around there, when they watched stones and dust flying off mountains around them!

I saw it as soon as I woke up. I am heartbroken for the people and all of the aid workers that are there. I continue to pray for them this morning. So tragic!

Not that it helps much but thankfully it doesn't seem that too many have been killed....6 so far I believe although a lot more are injured which will obviously mean more demand on medical services.

it is truly heartbreaking.
If you want to help with even a small donation (which will go a long way) go to the One World One Heart Organization. it is tax deductible, and most of all...the money goes directly to the people ....especially those that are isolated and lacking in even a tent to sleep under. They have a hospital that we support, an ambulance that made it through the 2 quakes, and they have build many schools. some of the schools have been damaged, and the hospital is treating people outside the walls (which got more damaged with the 2nd quake) ...they have rice bags, and blankets. they need tents badly. the government is disorganized so using a charity that is trustworthy is essential.
The Nepalese people are wonderful and kind. They are starting to get scared that another earthquake will hit that is even stronger than the others. it is fear and they have been through a great trauma.
