If you've been to Yankee Candle Village in Western Mass would you say it's worth an hour's drive to go? Can you recommend a good place for lunch? Thanks!

If you are just looking for something different to do then yes it's worth an hour ride. The place is huge and a great place to just walk around and look at the stuff. As you probably know it is way more than candles. They have a restaurant there called Chandler's Tavern which I haven't eaten at in years, perhaps someone else will chime in about that. It use to be great so I have no reason to expect it is anything but that.

We go every fall and it's 2 hours for us. I really enjoy it there so for me it's well worth the ride. There is also a butterfly place right down the road that might be a fun add on if you have time, and a cute little country store a bit further down on the same road.
If you do go, there is a restaurant called Wolfie's that we really like that is very close by. It's small but the food is great. The restaurant at the butterfly place is pretty nice too...I can't think of the name of that one, though.
If you go, have a great time.

If you like to shop I'd say yes. I was there last week at their restaurant but didn't have time to go shopping. Chandlers is pricey but the foods was very good. A couple of really nice waitresses there.
I hear that the lobster mac & cheese is fantastic $17. I don't eat mac & cheese so I didn't try it. My colleague had it. It looked great and she enjoyed it. The fish and chips looked really good. Someone got salmon on top of a salad and that looked amazing. I got the bacon wrapped meatball grinder which I wish had less breading. I saw a burger pass by and I don't know how someone could finish it all. Large portions.
Depending on your driving schedule consider stopping in at Kringle Candle in Bernandston (sp). The founder of Yankee Candle started Kringle Candle some years after selling YC. It's a different feeling shopping experience. They have a restaurant as well. It's expensive but their food is organic... We went for breakfast once. The rolls and pastries were fantastic. I do not recommend the pancake - it is like a cornmeal Johnnycake - my kid was shocked.

I go every Sept on the way to a scrapbooking weekend with some girlfriends. I love it. Fun for taking pictures with Santa...yes he's there all the time! There's a room that snows every few minutes and you can also do wax crafts! Totally worth it!

if you like yankee candles a lot-then yes, it's worth the ride. I would also say if you are really into christmas, it's good for that too.
I've been once and enjoyed it, but I am not "into" candles all that much, and christmas isn't a big decorating holiday for me. if you have sensitivity to strong perfumes-stay away. the place can be overwhelming
didn't eat lunch out there so I cant say where I would go

Yankee Candles aren't really a favourite of mine but a trip to the YC Village has got to be on my travel plans list now!

Thankfully for him it's hockey season when we go so he always has the perfect out.
